Well me and my buddy went and bought v1 efi thinking we can tune both of ours truck. I have a 2000 6.0 vortec 2500 and my bud has a d max. Well i quickly found out that this versions doesn't support my pcm. well my question is that can i buy just the v2 cord since i got the program already. Thanks

EFILive offers an upgrade from V1 to V2 for $549 (instead of retail: $799) here:

You get to keep the V1, so you and your buddy can have a cable each.
However, once you upgrade to V2, you can no longer purchase licenses for the V1 cable.

Please make sure that your vehicle is supported by V2 before you purchase any upgrade. The supported vehicles are listed here:

so after i up grade i have to buy credits for v2 only right, if im reading it right does the upgrade come with 2 more credits. and what if one of the truck is already tuned using a v1 credit or it doesn't matter.

The upgrade V2 comes with 2 licenses.

And you will be able to transfer any used V1 licenses to V2 (i.e. so both V1 and V2 can flash the same controllers) without consuming any unused licenses.
