I just recently purchase EFIlive and i am overwhelmed to say the least. i have been tuning w/ the FAST XFI software. However i am looking foward to learning the new software the best i can.

Just to be honest. i am lost. Can someone tell me in laymans terms on how to hook it up? I tried a little search, but nothing came up that i understand

Thanks for the help in advance
Greg

IIRC
the F.A.S.T WBO2 uses analog for the input,
and the PIDs are set up for "High Res Mode".

what speciffically are you lost on?
from the manual:
power comes from the cigarette lighter,
bung placement should be upstream of the catalytic converter,
and the analog +/- go to the +/- of the V1/V2,
then you select your PIDs.

power is simple, provided you have a cig lighter,
bung placement can be tricky depending on the vehicle,
and the analog +/- are colored wires and labeled on the V1/V2,
i believe the PIDs have been recently added since build 70

which +/- do you go to?
t2/t1 which are c/f
s1/s2/ which are 12v
a1/a2/a3/a4 which are 5v

the F.A.S.T manual shows 2 wires,
+ Analog Signal Output Wire (GREY)
- Signal Ground Wire (BLACK)
gray will go to the AD1+
black will go to the AD1-
i would think there should be 4 wires. (dual)
if there are 4 analog wires from the F.A.S.T,
connect those to AD2+/-.

don`t feed the V1/V2 AD inputs with more than 5volts.

i do not have a ad+ or ad-

i have the below terminals
which +/- do you go to?
t2/t1 which are c/f
s1/s2/ which are 12v
a1/a2/a3/a4 which are 5v

ad=a
the "a" terminals are the analog inputs aka ad1,ad2,ad3,ad4.
they are labeled + and -.
with the orange connectors that come with the V1/V2
you install the Analog Signal Output Wire (GREY) to A1+
and the Signal Ground Wire (BLACK) to A1- and so forth.
from what i got from the FAST manual
the analog signal puts out less than 5volts.

page 104 of Flashscan manual.
Each terminal has a screw-down attachment for easy connection of bare, stripped wires.
FlashScan V2 Pin-outs
Input (PID) Description
A1 {EXT.AD1} Analog voltage input, 0 to 5 volts only.
A2 {EXT.AD2} Analog voltage input, 0 to 5 volts only.
A3 {EXT.AD3} Analog voltage input, 0 to 5 volts only.
A4 {EXT.AD4} Analog voltage input, 0 to 5 volts only.
S1 {EXT.SW1} 12V switch input.
S2 {EXT.SW2} 12V switch input.
T1 {EXT.TEMP1} K-Type thermocouple input
T2 {EXT.TEMP2} K-Type thermocouple input

are you using High Res Mode or Simple Mode?
IIRC
the fast PID is for High Res Mode.

i wasnt using the right mode. no sooner than i typed it. i figured it out.
