just when I tune the thing the truck feels real slow off the line which is not suppose to happened. It feels so slow but the weird thing is when looking behind my back everybody seems to be getting farther away, I dont know if it had to do something with the speedometer. How can I fix this??

Do you have your original tune so we can compare it?

That On PCM.tun file looks fine, cant speak to the speedo section but other than that theres nothing apparently wrong with it. You still have all the TM in the engine on that one and the spark speed limiter is at 108 so you cant go faster than that (max it out).

yeah but what about the one on the first post, that was the one i bought from pcm and did some authorization on tires and gear ratio?

My suggestion would have been to go down the freeway and record the RPMs at a given speed, reflash the original tune, and see if it was the same RPM/speed, but without the original tune, that will be kind of tough.

can you show me where to go to max out my speed limiter? and how much recommended?

Two big problems.
let me explain the whole thing in detail. I just got the pcm4less tune also the eflive tuner and the pcm4less tuner reads the H0101 as 65724 and H0104 as 2637.4. Since I already claim in this tune to have a tire change I also decided to change the tire ratio to see how it goes. I changed my tire ratio from 245/65/17 to 265/35/22 and gear ratio to 3.42 (which is suppose to be this but I saw 3.29) and my H0101 is 58503 and H0104 is 1462.6.
Basiclly the H0101 and H0104 drop low. when i tried to reflash the updated pcm4less tune the car (http://forums.trailvoy.com/private.php?do=showpm&pmid=279913#) accelerates very slow. I then reflash pcmforless's tune and it felt a little fast. What is wrong with my updated tune? how did pcmforless get bigger numbers on the H0101 and H0104?
Also, while doing the reflash above I also reflash with zero TM, the engine down light kept lighting up making my car not acelerate. I cleared all the error codes and it still cant not accelerate. But when I reflash to pcm4less tune it (with TM) it was fine. What is wrong?

Ive got my stock tune file that has the same OS and cal ID as your tune file, its attached. Im not exactly sure after reading all your posts which tune file you actually want to work, I think you want 3tune1.tun to work and Im thinking its not working because your speedometer section is all messed up.
Ive also attached a mild tune for your TB (02 LL8 tuned), its based completely off my stock tune file so no PCM4Less input or input from your posted tune files. Also its not a full tune, you should flash it and see if there's an improvement then go back and add the PCM4Less tune into it (merge them together). And you can see exactly what Ive done to it by comparing the stock tune file.
I also changed your speedometer without any problems, Im thinking you're using different units that is messing with your tune. When I put the diff ratio to 3.42 with a tire size of 265/35R22 I get values of: H0101- 123704.41 and H0104- 1921.66 which are reasonable.
So try my tuned file and the 3tune1_update1 (same as the previous one just updated speedo params) and see if they make any improvement and let us know.

Erik, how exacly do you put the tire and gear ratio? Here is what I do:
Clicked on Speedometer
>Preference
>Speedo Calculator
>Selected 265 35 22
>Click refresh button on the "tire calibration"
>Selected 3.42 on "Calculated Final Drive Ratio" on speed calibration
>Click Apply
Results H0101=58504
H0104=1462.6
Did I miss something?

First off go: Edit->Configure Display Units. Select all then hit Imperial. Make sure the speedometer section is set to Imperial too at the bottom.
Then go:
Speedo Calculator
Set tire size to 265/35R22
Set "Calculated Final Drive Ratio" to 3.42
Displays:
TOS revolutions: 3092.61 /mi 1921.66 /km {H0104}
Pulses: 123704 /mile 76866 /km {H0101}
Make sure you do not have transaxle checked, VSS pickup teeth set to 40 (default), and Pulses/TOS Revolution set to 40.
Look at the attached pic and make sure all your values look the same.

alright I did that but in "Tire Calibration" under Tire Diameter reads 29.30in and 744.30mm. In results shows TOS revolutions to 2353.84/mile and 1242.61/km (H0104).
But when I retype the "tire diameter" based on your calculations 22.30in and 566.50 everything is exactly the same as your chart.
Why does my tire diameter in Inches and mm calculates different numbers compare to yours?

Hmm, I see what you mean. I can make it do the same thing on my end, and honestly now that I look at it during the day having a tire diameter of 22.30 isnt right. 29.30 is more like it, so thats what you should be using in you calculations. So Pulses/mi should be 105036 and TOS Revolutions should be 2625.90 /mi.

with the tire diameter at 29.30in and 744.30 I got Pulses/mi at 94154 and TOS Revolutions should be 2353.84/mi. I still dont get how you got different numbers than me. Plus with the tire diameter misput all three of the tune you supplied are miscalculated as well. can you correct that is well?

Here are the same files updated with the tire size properly set at 265/35R22 or 29.30" diameter. H0101 set to 94152.00 and H0104 set to 1462.58.
Make sure you set the diff ratio, Im using a 3.42 ratio as thats what you've stated you have. Just make sure to hit the refresh button after you've put the tire size and again after you set the diff ratio.
If these dont work then I have no idea whats up.

Thats exactly what I got and had a problem with. Look at my previous post below

Look at the difference between erik and mine tune with pcm4less's tune. the tune that erick and I did felt slow of the line but with pcmforless felt alittle faster. The reason why I am asking about this is that next week im trying to change my gear ratio to 4.10 and if i change the gear ratio from efilive i worry the shift might go wrong and dont want to pay another $50 for pcm4less when i already have the efilive program.
How come pcm4less has different H0101 and H0104 than ours?
here is there tune up

Im away on vacation right now and am using a friends mac for internet, so cant look at the tunes. I would assume the different H0101 and H0104 values are designed to make small adjustments to the speedometer read out. But I cant say for sure. Plus, how are you measuring the performance differences? Butt dyno or actually using a Gtech or other device or dyno?

its ok no rush. yes here is pcm4less's tune it reads H0101 as 65724 and H0104 as 2637.4.
im measuring based on experience, my car is never this slow of the line making me have the stop on the acelerator even harder compare to pcmforless tune where i just press on the acelerator lightly and it shifts faster. My friend from the dealer agrees when he tested my truck.

you know what part of the problem was that I thought that GT4 was 3.42 instead is actually 3.73. thats y it was slow off the line. Ill check it out.

well i just did the 3tune1 update w/ no TM and the gear shift from 1>2 is weak, sounds like the engine was about to shut off. but when shifted from 2>3 I was halling ass! how can we adjust the shift from 1>2 and what do you guys recommend?

now the dealer (my friend's auto shop) told me that when you press on the accelerator it feels kind of heavy, meaning you have to press it harder to get the truck moving faster. How can we solve this problem???

Im still waiting for a few minutes so I can fix your tune.
To log, open up the scan tool and read the tutorial on the scan tool. Then do some logging and post the files up.
