my tranny had a hard time with the superchips on performance which I believe was 90 hp at the wheel.after 20K miles I had a sciv put in and the clutched showed signs of being a little burnt. thats just my experience

From my experiance on a LB7 & LLY 360-380 rwhp, LBZ & LMM 400-420rwhp. This is not pulling trailors just daily driving but everybodies driving style is different. Also trans life will still be shorter but these numbers are fairly safe. Get a trans, lift pump, exhaust and good tuning you can be close to or over 500rwhp.

The allison is typically good for 90-100 HP over stock. After that, the tranny is on borrowed time. The TC and clutches (usually C3) will start to go.

I just put down 424 with my LBZ and stock alli with a transgo jr.. No issues.. I drive it very hard at all times.. and pull a 38' 5th wheel at least 500 miles a month.. No issues yet.. but I also have changed my fluid and filters ever 4 oil changes.

And my trans has made about 20-30 1/8th mile passes..
