Is there a certain amount of times that the ecu would become inop or erase itself due to reflashing ecu back and fourth on an lmm? I have heard of other ecu's in other makes doing that after a certain amount of reflashing. Thanks in advance for your help. Btw happy new years to all

The manufacturers of the flash chips in the ECM's only rate them for anywhere between 100 and 1,000 reflashes. But, in the 5 or 6 years we've been doing this I've never heard of an ECM dying because it was flashed too many times. Some shop cars / trucks would have been flashed many 100's of times too.

Cheers,
Ross
