I am trying to reflash my 2008 LMM for the first time. When I try to reflash I get a reflash failed, aborting.....See the screen snap shoot below. What am I doing wrong? I have the key in the on position and I do not have anyting on like radio, dome light, etc....

The screen shot is kind of hard to read so here is the text from the EFI Live programming box when I try to reflash the ECM. I also just though of one other thing. My boost and pyro guages come on when I turn the key to the on position. I have no way to turn them off other than disconnect the power lead. Could this cause a problem?

Hi Jaydog,
What version of the software are you using?, it looks pretty recent from the screen shot.

If those gauges get their data via the CAN data bus, then yes they will cause a problem during flashing.
Try disconnecting power to them to see if that resolves the problem.

Well, I disconnected the power to my guages and that was not it. I can read the ECM fine. But no matter what tune I try to upload back to it I get the same thing as stated above (reflash failed, aborting.....) Even when I try to upload the stock tune that I just downloaded from it.
Does anyone have any other ideas? My truck is sitting dead in the garage until I get this figured out. I just installed my 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust and EGR block plate and I do not want to start it until I get the right tune programmed in to block all the DPF and EGR codes. I have sent EFI Live support this information and have not heard back yet. Hopefully I can get this thing figured out soon. It sucks having a new D-Max sitting in the garage that I can not drive. Especially with the new exhaust on that I am excited to hear run and see what kind of power it has now.

How do you update the firmware in the handheld? I assume you would update it through the laptop? I have not had much time to read the manual or any tutorials yet. Thanks for your guys help.
