View Full Version : New rear - Will need a list of things to do

I am having a 9" rear professionally installed in the T/A with 3.55 gears. The installer asked if I wanted him to reprogram it for me and I told him, "NO". As I plan to buy FlashScan on the 3rd.
Now, my question is... what exactly do I need to do? Should I download the eval to practice or will this be relitively painless?

You should have no problems changing gears ratios with flash scan, I’ve programmed a 01 T/A with flash scan and it’s worked great…

In FlashScan, changing your speedo to read correctly is simply done by changing 2.73 to 3.55 in the speedometer table.

That's what I am talking about!
Now to go figure out my shift points. I used to know where there was an online calculator for optimizing shifts based on torque....
