Is there an easy way to trace what tables, multipliers, or other variables are active in a current value that's recorded in the scan tool? For example, there are many tables, multipliers, etc., that might affect spark timing or commanded fuel, for example. How can you identify the active parameters responsible for a commanded value at a moment in time? Thanks for the help!

Not as easily as I expect you are hoping :)

So there are a couple of way that this can be done (using spark as the example):
1. Log a number of the spark PIDs which will then show you the retard or advance being included in the final spark fgure (i.e ECT/IAT, Burst Knock etc).
2. By logging the PIDs used as axis in the modifier tables (often IAT, ECT etc) you can trace through the tables in the calibration to see which was the active cell, and therefore the underlying values.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick response. Well... I guess that keeps things from getting too easy & boring, then! :)
