I'm having problems moving my dash setup from my brothers vista laptop to my xp cumputer. i moved it to documents/efilive/v7.5/vdash and when i try to open it from the scan tool it tells me "cant load dash file xxxxxx the system cannot find the file specified. win32 error: 2." what needs to be done to fix this?

Just a guess but did you make sure your XP EFILive is pointing to the correct directory? It's under <Edit->Properties> The window that pops up has tabs. Go to the Folders tab and make sure the VDASH is where you want it to point. It may be more serious than this but that's where I'd start. BTW I had no issues with going from XP to Vista for things like this.

Also (in addition), did you copy 4 files and a folder (all starting with the same name)...?

You saved it as one file...? There are four files and one folder (all starting with the same name) that have to be copied.

In the scantool go Edit->Properties->Folders and look at VDash... does it say the same folder as you expected...? Click on VDash and browse to the folder.

oh, i get what you mean. yea its in the right place but its only one file... so your saying when i save a dashboard, it will save itself as 4 files in a folder and that folder is what i need to transfer?

No, you have to copy/paste 4 files plus 1 folder...

e.g. 4 files like this:
camaro.v*
camaro_A.v*
camaro_B.v*
camaro_C.v*

and 1 folder like this:
camaro

(the .v* part I don't remember how to spell).

Your names may be different (may even be "default").
