On this table it displays the maximum duty cycle for the TCC. the max on the stock table is 65%, if i raise it too 100% will that completely lock up the torque converter as soon as i hit 2nd in t/h?

If you set it to 100%, you'll burn out the TCC solenoid.

Yep. TCC Solenoid has nothing to do with weather the trans is built or not; the solenoid isn't designed for 100% duty cycle and will burn out in relatively short order if you set it to 100%.

Why is it that with an ATS copilot the lockup feels stronger than just with t/h? is there a way to do this with efi? I would like to have it locked up 100% at partial throttle

You're confusing 100% lockup with 100% duty cycle on the solenoid. The two things are not necessarily the same. You can have full lockup (zero slip) at 50% solenoid command assuming appropriate engine torque.

The solenoid runs off and algorithm that detects TCC slip and then adjust pulse width on the solenoid to get rid of the slip. It's modulated on a feedback loop this way to lessen the harshness of the TCC lock.

If you want a firmer lockup, raise the minimum duty cycle tables, not the maximum.

that is up to you. just make small increases until you get it where you want it

What is the maximum I can go. Does it firm up the lockup in both regular and t/h?

I was looking at my log tonight of a high powered tune on my stock trans. It seems like the toque converter is able to lock fine, but the duty cycle the TCM is commanding is making it slowly lock up.

Everyone seems to say the Ramp on rate for the TCC dosent do anything. Ive tried and havent noticed any difference either. Everything just does wierd stuff. Its like it will up the DC then back off the DC then go to 98.6% and it will stay within 25rpms slip speed.

What if I set the min to 90% or something at higher tps% like 75%+?

Is this dangerous for anything?

That way it would not be commanding 60-70% when at WOT trying to lock it will just force it to go to 90% or above at WOT?

I set the min to 90% when it gets to 80+TPS and above but havent logged it yet.
