Hi
ok I am a really newbie and I got a big problem.
I have a 1998 Trans Am and my secondary air pump died and now i got the error codes p0412 and p0418 and the service light is on.
I dont want to replace the pump because i dont need it for emission control.

I donwloaded the demo of efilive because i thought i could use it to set these error codes to "no error reported", but i am not able to connect efilive with my car.

I think my cable is the porblem. It is one of these cheap ebay OBDII ELM327 cable.

I just want to set these two error codes to "no error reported".
What is the cheapest way for me to do this.
I dont want to do it with "mail order, because i live in Germany and dont want to send the pcm to the us"
Which is the cheapest software and hardware bundle i can buy to do this.

or is it possible with my cable and the demo version of efi live?
THX

What cable do you have?
You need the hardware and licensed software
in order to make any changes to the PCM calibrations.
The cheapest way for you would be to buy a used V1 or V2.

Hi Player87, welcome to the forum... :)

To set those error codes to "Not Reported", you have to:
1. read the calibration from the PCM to a file,
2. edit the file (set those 2 DTC's to "Not Reported",
3. save the file,
4. write/flash the file back to the PCM.

To do steps 1 and 4 you will need the FlashScan cable/hardware (V1 or V2 depending on your vehicle)...

Any other/generic cable/hardware will not work.
