If the tablet runs standard Windows (i.e. WinXP/7/8)(i.e. not Windows CE/Embedded).
I must be too old school, I grew up with keyboards and a mouse (actually, I started without a mouse). I recently purchased a new laptop, just an Acer Corei5 running in 1366x768 video mode (best laptop I've ever had BTW). I just couldn't imagine trying to tune a car on a tablet. We've even had people ask if we will ever produce a TUNE tool for the iPhone, imagine massaging the Virtual VE table on an iPhone :bash:
interersting thanks for the info. i have been think of getting tablet. and if i do might as well get one with multi purpose thanks.
Out of interest, I am currently running Windows 8 (x64 915412) on my laptop and EFILive seems to run fine.
We haven't done exhaustive testing, it was more a case of, I wonder if this will work.
The code base between Win7 and Win8 is pretty similar, most of the changes have to do with the new Start screen and the removal of all start menu stuff. Ive only installed Win8 on 2 PCs and Server 2012 on 1, all my Win7 x64 drivers worked just fine (which is better than Vista->W7).
I'm very exited for the release of windows 8 and the integration of touch screens, I think it will make workflow for us much easier in the long run.
I plan on grabbing this very soon: http://www.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-...-35427786.html

Flips from tablet to laptop, with a stylus this will be a great tool for us.
On a desktop I don't like it, there's just more steps to get to where you want. But, they probably saw that touch screen computing is where it's all heading. Mind you, who made the decision to remove the start button? Thankfully it can be restored with 3rd party software.
