LMM DEAD tables!!!

1000hp is right. I have the same results. The people that are saying there is no issue are not changing the factory defuel values enough to see the tables do nothing.

Make the LMM overfuel a shift. That is the best way to show the table is controlling the truck. It is impossible to do with the tables we have now.

You can get good shifts at WOT and good shifts at part throttle. You can't get it to shift perfect like you can on an LLY or LB7 though. That is were these table would help a lot.

Last Sunday I took an LMM out on a 5hr beat run. I had maxed out these shifting tables one by one and seen no difference one way or another. I can get a part throttle defuel at 70mm3 down to 58mm3 no matter where I set the tables. At one point, all the tables were set to 100mm3. That should have caused the truck to fuel from 70mm3 commanded to 100mm3 on the shift. It did not do it.

interesting. is this a 08 os problem or does it affect the 07 os as well ?

Both 07.5 and 08...try zeroing your torque fuel tables and it will do nothing.

Well, I think I now understand why changing all those tables to zero would result in no obvious change.
I have added in two more 3D tables that might be the cause of the problem (no guarantee), B1172 & B1176. I call them transient tables but I'm not 100% sure on when they are actually used. The ECM seems to monitor a lot of engine parameters to create a scaler (0-1) used by that table. So for now, it is what it is.

The maths behind these tables (based on the sea level tables as the example is ) -

B1177 x Transient factor = X
B1176 x Transient factor = Y
Then:
X + Y = Z
Then:
B0202 x Z = Final mm3 figure.

So now with some real numbers assumed -

B1177 (110mm3) x Transient factor (0.9) = 99mm3
B1176 (120mm3) x Transient factor (0.1) = 12mm3
Then:
99mm3 + 12mm3 = 111mm3
Then:
B0202 (1.00) x 111mm3 = Final mm3 figure of 111mm3.

So from what I see, even if you zero'd out B1177, the fact that B1176 was not shown (up until this new .calz file) and still had figures in it then you would not see the desired result.

B1177 (0mm3) x Transient factor (0.9) = 0mm3
B1176 (120mm3) x Transient factor (0.1) = 12mm3
Then:
0mm3 + 12mm3 = 12mm3
Then:
B0202 (1.00) x 12mm3 = Final mm3 figure of 12mm3.

But what if the transient factor was the other way around -

B1177 (0mm3) x Transient factor (0.1) = 0mm3
B1176 (120mm3) x Transient factor (0.9) = 108mm3
Then:
0mm3 + 108mm3 = 108mm3
Then:
B0202 (1.00) x 108mm3 = Final mm3 figure of 108mm3.

If you download and extract the attached zip in to the folder -
\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E35
You will see the two new tables. I'd be interested to hear if this solves the problem. I think we should be able to come up with a DMA PID to log the transient scaler too otherwise you will be flying blind, or simply make both tables (B1176 & B1177 etc) the same.
Oh also, I noticed an error in table B0202 when looking at this problem, that has been corrected in these .calz files.

I am sure I've now found the problem, I had defined table B1118 incorrectly, this was not the normal torque limiting table, it was in fact adjusting table B1186 (just added).
This was only defined incorrectly for OS 12628594.
If you are having RPM limiting troubles on the LMM please download these new .calz files for testing and refer back to table B1118, B1119 & B1186 for adjusting. If they are successful they will be released as an auto update for everybody else.

Unzip the attached file in to the folder -
\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations\E35

I also have moved a few torque limiting tables from the Injection Amount group to Torque Limits are they are specific torque limit tables.

Hell Yeah!!! That fixed my RPM limiting issues. I changed the TCM WOT to 4000. She sure did scream to 4000. Thank you for working on this issue. Thanks to the EFI Live Team for making such an awesome tuner.

Thanks, glad this problem is finally sorted. Actually I am happy it was not yet another limiting table they had put in, but embarrassed it was a silly mistake on my part. I will send the files to Paul to come as an auto update for everyone.
