I have to assign the PIDs while its plugged into the car right?

Another question, I have an LC1 hard wired in with a AF gauge, I see there is the plug in for the phone looking cord in the V2, does the other end plug into the LC1 somewhere?

You need the LC-1 serial cable and the FlashScan serial cable, with a null-moden adapter between them.
The LC-1 has a SERIAL OUT cable which takes the stereo jack;
The LC-1 also has a SERIAL IN which takes the terminator plug.
Join the LC-1 serial cable to the FlashScan serial cable using this: http://www.sfcable.com/cable/p/30D1-C1-S.html
or buy a ready made cable from TAQuickness.
Well, a buddy came over last weekend with his hptuners (still learning how to tune with my EFIlive). We hooked up the LC-1 to his HPTuners using the brown wire off the LC-1 and a ground I tagged into the floorboard, both those wires screwed into a 6 or 8 prong connection that he plugged into his hptuners so we can get AF ratios... So, it looks like it will fit into the bottom of the V2.. Do you know what I am reffering too?
This uses the wideband's serial output... this is different than using the V2's analog inputs shown in the previous post.
Your LC-1 came with cable that has a DB-9 on one end... you can see it in the pic: "LC-1 Serial Cable"...
the stereo jack plugs into the SERIAL OUT cable on the LC-1.
TAQuickness sells a cable that is already made up (no need for null-modem adapter).
Using the null-modem adapter I showed earlier makes connecting LC-1 -> V2 a snap, much easier than analog.
Yea.. my bad its a 1g.
On V2's display, the analog inputs will show voltage only... not AFR...
But, in the scantool, you will see the AFR (after you select the CALC.AFC_xxx pid).
This will be ok if you have zero ground offset... otherwise the serial input (using the null-moden adapter between the two cables) is best.
1GB is plenty.
Thanks.. Im pulling the car out of my storage tomorrow so I will try the V2 data logger and see how it works at the track on Saturday.
well, im in the car now and its says on the V2 "passthru active".. um, now what? How do I load up the different PIDs i want scan / then upload?
did i lose all my stuff?

You cant have the V7.5 tune or scan tool open when using EFILive Explorer, exit from them and hit refresh in EFILive Explorer.
same shit...
ok.. its all back.. Im sitting in the garage with the V2 in the lab top. How do I pick what PIDs and how to send them into the V2?
I thought I had to have it hooked up in the car to to do it??

Do you see the Options.ini file under either of these places:
C:\Program Files\EFILive\V8.1\Programs
C:\Program Files\EFILive\V8.1\Config
Drag the Options.ini from the upper pane (one of those 2 folders) to to lower pane (Config Files tab).
Once you have done that you are ready to log (disconnect laptop, restart V2, on V2 select the PCM that is for your WS6 (LS1B_A for A4, LS1B_M for M6).
PM your phone #.
I believe its all read done.. i just dont understand how to get it to the V2.

here ya go..
Jody,
Save the contents of the .zip and drag it to the Config Files tab under EE.
This Options.ini has 5 example pid lists for LS1B_A (LS1B = 1999+ LS1, A = A4).
When you goto "Select PIDs" on the V2 menu, you will see those 5 pid lists.
You are the man!!! Thanks a bunch!
To do serial AFR logging from the LC-1, see this pic:

You need to join those 2 cables using the null-modem adapter shown, or you can buy an LC-1 serial cable from TAQuickness;
The stereo jack plugs into the LC-1's SERIAL OUT cable.
This will allow you to display the wideband AFR as a pid on your V2 LCD.
I have a wideband in the car so I can see the AF... But, I think you said it will just show Volts correct? But, once uploaded, it will turn into AF on the efilive "tune"?
If your wideband is connected to V2 via analog (LC-1 brown signal wire, white/green ground wire), then you will only see the voltage on the V2 LCD (you will see the AFR when you view using the ScanTool).
Hmmm.... maybe I can edit this into the Options.ini file...
Do you use the pid CALC.AFR_LC11...?
Jody, and others using the LC-1,
Try this Options.ini for displaying LC-1 standard default analog AFR...
First open the .zip file and save the .ini to your hard disk (overwrite your old Options.ini);
then using EE drag the new Options.ini to the Config Files tab, overwriting the old file.
On the V2, go into Edit Settings... and set A/D Pids to Yes.
Then during logging (pids are shown updating on the V2 LCD), scroll down to the bottom, you will see AD1 and AD2...
press the Enter key and AD1 and AD2 will change to AFR_WB1 and AFR_WB2...
-->> I haven't tried it yet, so let me know if it works or not.
Cheers
Joe
the V2 and everything else is in the car and ready for a trial run tomorrow.. The lap top will join that stuff pretty soon as well.
Joecar, thanks a lot oh wise one! ill post up tomorrow and let ya know if I ran into any problems.
Ended up getting a personal best at 10.71 @ 126 and a 10.77 @ 126. Here are a couple of vids.. I logged, or think I did log 2 N20 runs. How do I retrieve them again?

Good ET...
Goto the Scan Files tab, the log should be there (filename looks like BBLxxxx.efi)...
drag the .efi file(s) up to the top pane (first select the folder in the top pane).
I dont see anything...
