12587603 cos5
what do you mean? Tunerpro has nothing to do with EFILive.
COS5 was an OS modification developped by EFIlive.
That is correct, however this COS5 operating system can be tuned with other software such as HP tuners and LS1 Flash cable for example. The COS5 is only available for 512kb PO1 PCM (as far as I know) not the 1024kb P59 pcm which the 12587603 is what this operating system runs on. The 12587603 operating system has been modified to duplicate COS5 functions (PCM Hacking) using Tunerpro to change the modified parameters in 12587603 for tuning.
hp tuners supporting an os developped by efilive was a dick move. I made the COS5 for 7603 with a plethora of enhancements and never released it for this very same reason. As far as I know no one has duplicated the nitrous portion of COS5.
Question: if a guy read a COS5 PCM with PCM Hammer, made changes with Tunerpro, and reflashed with PCM Hammer would that break stuff? Or would all the extra 1s and 0s of COS5 just stay untouched in the background? My hope is that the 4L80E min TCC stuff is unlocked in there.
If you are using the COS5 operating system then it will include all the COS5 operating parameters as set out in the tune. With respect to the 4l80 settings I believe they are standard GM settings to suite the 4l60 transmission unless change to accommodate the 4L80 either by an after market adaptor harness or the transmission operating system has been changed to a 4L80.
As long as you didnt change anything and the checksum is bad now.
Do you have 02020005 OS?
I can't find a description of the functions of this OS. Where can I find this?
