Hey Joe,
you should take post #157 and make a sticky for serial WBO2 and
BBL options.txt formatting.
I dont have that.

I tried to open one of my tunes to look at a few things and a pop up window came up saying its a "DEMO". Whats that about?
Also, the icons are still saying 7.5
Jody,
Do you have Vista...?
For Vista, the location is under C:\Program Data\...
Copy the attached Options.txt file to either of:
WinXP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EFILive\V8\Config
Vista: C:\Program Data\EFILive\V8\Config (I don't remember is this is right).
I contacted Tech Support.
Send the FlashScan serial number (the one on the bar code sticker) to me ([email protected]) and I'll send you your license details.
Regards
Paul
PM sent.
THANKS.. got it working.
Hey Joe.. In here?
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...iliveagain.jpg
Yes, that's the place, copy Options.txt to there... but do the copy using WIndows Explorer.
Then in EFILive Explorer in the COnfig Files tab:
- click Format and let it finish;
- drag Options.txt and LS1B_A.pmm from the upper pane (Config folder) to the lower pane (Config tab).
Then goto the Scan Files tab and drag down the dtc .txt files.
Then goto the Date/Time tab and click Set Now.
Remove the USB cable, now you're ready to goto car for doing BBL.
I get confused as to window explorer.. where is that.. ugggg.
WE is the folder display thing you have beneath EE in the picture in post #178.
There wasnt a config folder.
Config folder is at C:\ProgramData\EFILive\V8\Config.
Edit: removed space from pathname... [lol] in accordance with Microsoft's pathname convention... :rotflmao:
Just one more "consistent inconsistency" from Microsoft. First they created a folder with a space in thename "Program Files" which broke 99% of applications that relied on the fact the filenames don't (and should never) contain spaces.
Then with Vista, they created a folder called ProgramData to augment the Program Files folder. This time no space. So now we have two folders that are designed to "work together" but one has a space and one does not.
What were they thinking? (were they even thinking?)
Bastards!!!!
Paul
I still don't see where I am suppose to drag that options.txt file.

Jody,
Not C:\Program Files\EFILive\V8\Config, but C:\Program Data\EFILive\V8\Config...
Microsoft's attempt to mess with us...:)
Ok... ill try it when I get back home.
yea Joe.... I finally did it. lol

Jody,
[red = do this one time]
Ok, now connect V2 to PC (for power);
On V2 LCD/keypad navigate down into setup options, select the SD card, and format it; when done, go back to the opening menu.
Then on PC, open EE, goto Config Files tab, click Format (formats the config space).
Then drag these files from upper pane (PC) to lower pane (V2):
- LS1B_A.pmm <--- means: 1999+ LS1 with A4
- Options.txt <---- the same one you copied
Then, goto Scan Data tab, and drag the 4 dtc files from upper to lowe pane (useful for interpreting DTCs).
Then exit EE, remove V2 from PC.
[green = do this each time you log]
Now goto car, ignition key on, connect V2 to car.
If you haven't done this already, or if you want to change pid list do this:
On V2 display, go into Select Pids...
It shows various "pid lists" (i.e. named lists/groups of pids),
Select one of those (e.g. LOOP or TRANS).
Press OK one more time.
Press the ZERO key to start logging.
When finished logging, press CANCEL two times, remove V2 from car.
Connect V2 to PC, Start EE, goto Scan Data tab, drag log files from lower pane (V2) to upper pane (some folder on your PC, you may want to change to a different folder).
In the lower pane, you can delete the log files.
Exit EE.
Using scantool, open those log files.
ok... i should have the car in the garage tomorrow, so I will try it over the weekend. I just got my N20 bottle filled, bbuuuwwwaaa!!
On the V2 for "select PID list" what do I select? I see there is an LS1 99+ Auto.
But, when I go into option, its doesnt show what PID's are in the LS1 99+ Auto. It just has this.

The new Version 8 "user friendly" black box logging setup software is almost ready to be released, hopefully this weekend.
I recommend downloading it and using it for black box logging setup once it is available.
Look for it on our downloads page here in the next 24 hours:

I remember last year that the names matched in the "options" file and the V2.
So, I could set this up and use it. which is IBPW in the V2 and select it.. How do I know what group is what in the V2 when the names dont match?

Copy the attached Options.txt to your folder C:\ProgramData\EFILive\V8\Config
then using EE goto Config Files tab and drag it from the upper pane to the lower pane (with V2 connected).
lol... Paul will have the new V8/BBL stuff out shortly.

So how do you tell what is what?? Im getting ready to go back to the old shit.
Did you do this (2 steps: copy file to folder, then using EE drag it to Config Folder):
Did you have V2 attached to your PC when you did that...?Quote:
Copy the attached Options.txt to your folder C:\ProgramData\EFILive\V8\Config
then using EE goto Config Files tab and drag it from the upper pane to the lower pane (with V2 connected).
On V2 goto the Select PIDs option, you will see a "list" of PID lists.
Each PID list is a group of pids that will be logged if you select that list.
