I highly recommend waiting a few more hours until I post the updated version8 software.

:cucumber::cucumber::cucumber: WILL USE TODAY!
Jody, use the new one... see post #202.
You will have to update the V2 firmware, use EFILive Explorer to do so.
Its not strictly necessary, but if you do uninstall and delete the two folders, then your new V8 install will be cleaner and ther ewill be no "old" files hanging around to confuse you later...
On XP:
\Program Files\EFILive\V8
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EFILive\V8
On Vista (you may need to set "show hidden files" to see ProgramData)
\Program Files\EFILive\V8
\ProgramData\EFILive\V8

Paul
so, am i suppose to delete everything?? This is getting really confusing.
I went ahead and downloaded anyway.. Now, I went to EE and its different so I assume its good.

Forgive me if this has been brought up already but... Is there a way to switch the PIDS to imperial?
I've already selected 'custom' from the display menu of f3 "display" tab.
Jeez - I put that in the wrong spot - Sorry guys.
Jody,
Have you figured out how to use it...?
Did you program V2 with firmware 2.06.07 using the old EFILive Explorer...?
Then, on the Scan & Tune display (your post #207 above) follow this:
Hints:
- On "LLY Manual" rightclick->Properties and change its name to "LS1" "Trims" (for example), and select the LS1B_A controller;
- Uncheck the other names and click the red minus button to delete them;
- Click on PID Name to sort by pid name,
- Select some pids, click on the double left arrow button to add them;
- Watch the pid channel counter below (if it turn red you have too many pid channels);
- Click the up and down arrows to arrange the V2 display order of the selected pids;
Rightclick on the next empty controller slot and name/create another pid list (e.g. "LS1B" "Trans")...
FInally, click on Save , and then click on Program (V2 has to be connected to PC).
Remove V2 from PC... you're now ready to log
Paul,
Is there a way to set the non-custom precision...?
good timing.. I was going to post what I have. But, after reading what you just posted I have too many PID's.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...19999/pids.jpg
I really dont know which pids are what. So, since I have the LC1, where is the PID to monitor the AFR from that?
Click Device Settings (in the blue panel on the far left) and somewhere in there there's a setting to always include serial AFR pids.
I'm not sure what that pid is...
Click on a controller in the upper left pane, set it to LS1B_A and name it;
then on the RHS find the usual pids:
VSS
TP
RPM
MAF
MAP
DYNAIR
DYNCLYAIR
AFR
LONGFT1
LONGFT2
ECT
IAT
GEAR
TCCMODE
and copy them to the LHS using the blue << button.
im assuming its here? this is the way it was.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...999/serial.jpg
Like this eh?
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...99/ls1auto.jpg
green single box = 1 channel per pid
blue double box = 2 channels per pid
ok.. i moved all the PIDS you listed and saved them. Do you know any other ones I might need? I am assuming that the LC1 AFR will be included since I changed the setting to AFR & EQ.
I also see the VSS is an KMH, how do I change it to MPH?
Serial AFR pids:
Goto Device Settings->Logging and checkmark external digital pids.
To show mph units, on VSS in the left pane do rightclick->Properties->Custom PID Properties->Quick Select->mph and click OK.
Remember to save and program.
You also want:
SPARKADV
KR
added that and switched them over to MPH and F*.. So, I guess I am good to go for some logging now.
I still need to go back in this thread and find the free air cal on my wideband 02 to make sure its good and I should be able to do it on the V2 now right?
I did notice that a few weeks ago when I was fooling around with it, I got the AFR from the LC1 to display and it was 1 point off of my dynotune AFR gauge. IS there a way to make them both read the same?
Hey Joe.. I was trying to see what tune I had in the car but I cant read it, is say I am locked out. Whats this all about?
and on the left, 2nd down, thats where my wideband 02 should display right? I have nothing.

You have serial AFR now, so you need to select/log these pids:
EXT.WO2AFR1
CALC.BEN1
The one's you show are for analog AFR.
i have to add it using EE right?
I dont see EXT.WO2AFR1.. in the available PIDS. I dont see the other one either.
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...g19999/ext.jpg
No, if you set up the V2 options to include serial inputs, then V2 should already be logging WO2AFR1...
V2 can't log BEN1... but when you view the log in the scantool, you can select BEN1 (and save the file to permanently include it).
You will also have to edit your BEN map to use BEN1 as data instead of BEN_LC11, and save the map with a new filename.
BEN1 is derived from WBO2AFR1 and AFR.
ok.. i found it and added it.. Like this eh? (2nd down on the left)
http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...9999/tunee.jpg
Yep.
And, while logging BBL on V2, scroll down, you should see WO2AFR logging with a valid value.
well.. took out for a quick stab on the jug with the new stand alone I built.. it worked sweet at 1st, then it wont activate. going to see whats up.
Do you have wet or dry...?
Its a wet shot...
I lowered the 2 FPSS (one for motor and one or the stand alone) to see if that would help and it still didn't fire.. Last time my TP cable got loose and that caused the WS not to see the WOT voltage it needed. So, Ill check that when I get another chance. Now, its back to work for the week and wont have time.
Hey Joecar....
I cant seem to find the PID for the injector duty cycle.. am i blind or is it not there?
Besides that, the V2 logging to day worked like a charm, to bad the track sucked ass.
With BBL log these: IBPW1, IBPW2
Then when viewing the log in the scantool, on the PIDs tab select INJDC1, INJDC2 and resave the log file.
