PCM conversion question.....

Ok...here's the deal.

I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 2.2L 5spd.

I have OCD.

I have an LS1 from a 2004 Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro with wiring harness and no PCM.

The S10's PCM is physically the same, other than one of the two connectors being different.

If I rewired the GTO harness to fit the two S10 connectors, can I do a full reflash of the S10's PCM to make it run the '04 GTO op sys?

Probably a stupid question, but I had to ask....I mean if I save $200 this way, then it's worth a shot, right?
