I was wonting to know what table to change to get rid of some defuel
Look under the engine torque tables inside the engine calibration portion. They all pertain to how much torque the ECM tries to theoretically limit the engine to.
Torque limited injection quantity is one to play around with a bit.
where should i start playing at in that table
Careful with the TLIQ table. It controls max fueling as well as how much it defuels on shifts. If you go to big it wiull not defuel at all and even fully built trans cn come unglued running without defuel. It is the table though that has the most control over max defueling, and is teh table referenced teh most for how much fuel to give for a defuel request.
where at in the table do i need to start my changes
what would a guy log to see where to adjust this table so the defuel is not so aggresive.
mm3- see the drop during the shift, adjust TBIQ accordingly.
What he said ^^^
what i do is log: throttle base injection quantity, Main Injection quantity (mm3) & RPM. this is for the LB7, others will be a little different.
while looking at the log and having the tune open it should highlight the cell corresponding to it. mine doesn't correlate properly, so in the log you will see that the throttle mm3 is xx & RPM is xx. now find that in the your tun at the point that the shift occurred (drop in Main Injection quantity).
example: at 2000 RPM and 50% throttle we have 34 mm3. now go to the B1102 Base torque table, at 34 mm3 and 2000 RPMs we get about 293 Nm. checking this in the TLIQ B0741 at 2000 RPM and 293 Nm we get about 32 mm3. this will be between 250 & 375 Nm. i adjust the one closest to the area it falls in and sometimes above, below, left or right of it as needed to smooth it out, firm it up, etc
if anyone finds this wrong feel free to correct it
