Stock boost for 01 is 20-22, and 02-04 trucks are normally around 18-20 stock. Remember the boost pressure tables refernce absolute boost pressure which is atmospheric + boost. So at sea level you have 14.7 PSI of pressure, add in 22 pounds of boost, and you have 36.7 absolute which is what the ECM will reference. Anything over 32 psi of actual boost pressure will send the turbo into an overspeed situation, and can cause the impeller to explode. Some have gone higher, but others have had them come apart at 30, but 32 is normally the accepted max for most units(I limited mine to 28 to be safe).
is the boost table set to 37psi if it is set at 37 psi in the table the max actual boost it is making is 22.5 psi
You can ignore all the boost tables in the LB7. They do nothing to control boost, only monitor it so that a CEL can be thrown if the truck senses an issue with the operation of the mechanical boosting system.
