Need admin to look at why i don't have access to send pm's

I need an admin to look at why I can't send pm's My account says I'm allowed to send 0 and receive 0. I need access to this as I am in the process of writing a research paper on the history of efi live. Since there is info that i need that i can't find i need access to send messages.
