4 year old bump LOL, I'm fighting a 2001 the guy has a CTS that he assure's is just a display I tried the 441 and 6006 OS ect. Trying the vin for a 02 tonight in the 441 OS I already tried the 02 vin on the 6006 OS with no luck. Won't the oil life be screwed going back to the 01 OS after flashing the 02 ones? I might have to try a few more vin#'s since the on I have is for the 6006 OS. Also the vin is not carrying over from the tune file so I've been changing it in the scan tool, any other suggestions to get a CTS to work it's getting the "Not supported PID message" and shutting off?

2002 15186006 DOES NOT WORK, there is an issue with that OS, its never worked in 10 years, the earlier 441 OS works fine on 2001 and 2002 vehicles as long as the VIN is a 2002 VIN Number when reprogramming a 2001 ECM.

Thanks Tony but no luck on this one, tried the 441 OS and a few different vins from 02 with no luck. I'm going to get a few more vins to try but this one shows 000000000 for a ecm serial # so that may be part of it. It had trouble licensing it and it had showed a blank for the ecm serial before the first try but it did eventually take a flash and has taken them fine since the first one has gone though. Figured I would give it all I could to try and make it work. I couldnt get the vins to carry through with the tune files they show 00000000000 also after a flash, tried updating them in the tune tool with no luck but they take in the old scan tool software.

If any LB7 ECM has any corruption at all its junk, do not use it.
The CTS must be able to identify a valid VIN Number to work, otherwise it will not load any gauges for monitoring and will not work to switch tunes.
We know EFI-Live has tried everything they could to make these ECM's flash and return to health, but they are not going to be fixed with just a FULL FLASH, chip needs to be removed/replaced and then a clean file loaded.
If you use a corrupt file read from an ecm with corruption and use it as a base it corrupts the new/good ecm.
That is the reason I only use clean/stock TIS Files I get myself.
