1995 pontiac grand prix

hi all,im new to all this and kind of lost,i bought an aldl cable from aldlcable.com,and i am using efilivev4,my particular car isnt listed and i dont have any idea where to go from here,do i need to modify an existing profile or what,i have tried most every definition there was,some recognize chatter and interface,but i cant get the dtc codes,and most of the dash features never work,it always says it cant find heartbeat,does anyone have any insight into what i need to do,the check engine light was on for a while,and now it barely runs,so i would assume there have got to be some codes in the ecm.my car is a 1995 pontiac grand prix se,3.1 v6 with auto.btw,the connector is a standard 12 pin.:frown:
