On the V2 interface there are 2 12 volt switch inputs. What are they used for? I thought I read something about them a while back but, can't seem to find the thread.
Thanks

I thought they were 12V analog inputs which should read the voltage from 0-12V.

Just discrete inputs, the cannot measure between 0 and 12V (4.5V, 7.8V etc), however, they are handy for measuring relay states (on/off) or switches etc.

Ok, thanks Ross
So this might be used to log something like a nitrous solenoid to see when it turns on/off?
Hi, I'm wondering if it is bad on the flashscan to input 12 volts to one of the inputs to log actual nitrous activation from the solenoid. I know it won't read the voltage. I just want to use it more as an on-off way of logging the nitrous activation point. Thanks a lot!
I have a v1. I don't know if that makes any difference
you do not want to hook 12vdc to the V1 inputs. You would need to step the voltage down to a 0-5vdc range.
Now that I got bottle pressure, fuel pressure and WB logging, I want to use these these relay inputs to indicate stage one and stage two of my nitrous system firing... How do I wire them (I am in Singapore so I cannot look at the back of the unit to figure it out...)
Being we don't need the grounds on the plugs for the Fuel/nitrous/ and WB inputs, can I just take a hot feed (from my LED Stage Indicators Powered by Pin 87 on the relay) and put that to + on the V2 relay inputs and be off and rockin???
Playing around I was expecting to see it come up as a STATUS when selected as PID...but it does not, has anyone used this yet???
Easiest way to do this would probably be getting a Zener diode, e.g. 4.7V, and a resistor ...Quote:
