Hey guys I need to buy another ecm for my 07 vette because something went wrong we think during a flash. Nothing seems to fix it. So I am going to buy one from Spareecm and he said he would flash my VIN into it so I can install and be good to go. Question is will I need to buy another tuning license for this ecm? I would assume since it will have my VIN in it then it should be ok or am I wrong? Kinda scared to tune this thing anymore. Never had an ecm get damaged till now:Eyecrazy:
07 is E38 right? Pretty hard to kill one of those with EFILive so maybe before you get another one you might want to elaborate on the specific issue.
Yea it's E38. Pretty sure it's the ecm. it was fine till I made a minor adjustment in the pe table and reflashed it. I have got it to work right if I do a full flash sometimes but as soon as I make a small adjustment and do the calibration flash it happens again.
As I said, you might want to elaborate on the specific issue please.
Post some screenshots so we can see what is going on.
