Anybody out there that can help me with the process of changing an automatic ecm to a manual trans.
You have to use a manual transmission base tune, there is no simple 'auto or manual' switch.
What ECM type / year you are dealing with?
2008 ecm
I`m using the manual ecm right now from the donor truck. But it has a different vin of course.
So read the manual ECM, flash that file in to the auto ECM, no need to worry about VIN's then.
