I have had a few different e38 os in my l98/6l80e conversion some the speedo worked via canbus some required a seperate wire from tcm to ecm and use replicated trans output signal

If the voltage goes down when you rev it check your belt tension or auto tensioner is providing sufficient tension on alternator,
100a is sufficient output for most applications like yours....
On the 6l80e there are several modes selected P-R-N-D-M-2-1 the tutd with that os should work in m 2 and possibly 1 also.
If your shifter doesn't line up with the display it may need to be adjusted...
What size output does the alternator have and is it an e38 controlled alternator?

Got the logging sorted out now and I believe my afr is accurate enough for all intents will now check against autronic on dyno this weekend.
