Thanks. Looks like I need to plan some time to play around with the apply/release.
Sorry for digging this back up, but your condition is exactly what my 2011 Suburban 2500 is doing. It is a boosted(TVS1900) 6.0(L96) with 6L90 and I get what you describe, most noticeable when just...
I am still running with 3rd unlocked as aeound town it just makes it a more pleasant driving experience as I typically only use 4th when on the highway. With 4th being locked at cruise on the...
Took a look at the sticky and also have done some research. Yje delay/hanging around the 1200rpm is normal as long as it is not excessive. It does this to burn off any excess fuel before dropping...
Hey guys, just swapped out my stock 87mm throttle body with a 90mm LS3 throttle body instead of doing a p&p on my stock unit. Only issue that I am seeing is that the rpm's seem to hang a little when...
Wow, lots of good info here, alot is over my head, but I am learning. I did notice a small decrease in mpg's, generally 1-1.5mpg over the course of 26 gallons. I am still verifying that there is no...
Just recently I have been noticing some pinging/detonation in the 4,000-5,000rpm range. The ecm tune has been unchanged for several months. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out...
If I disable cat-protection, do I still need to disable the AFM setting? It is my understanding that AFM/DOD does not activate when cat protection is disabled, any truth to that? Thanks
Hmm, looks like I may try it off and see what results I get.
Well with gasoline prices approaching $5.00/gal.(US) I am starting to play around with the DOD settings in my '07 Tahoe 5.3L/4L60 in an attempt to keep it activated a bit longer. Currently I have...
Thanks joecar, lowered 4>3 release by about 5mph from 50% TPS and down. By doing so got the results I was after.
Thanks...forgot to mention this is a T42 4L60e with 2600 converter.
Ok having a big brainfart...when I am cruising on the highway in 4th say 65-70mph and slowly roll into the throttle the TC unlocks, how do I keep it locked longer?? The truck is strong enough to pull...
Erik, my cluster readout has not changed, but I'll keep an eye on it. Driving it for the past couple days I am really liking it being unlocked in 3rd, the engine definetly stays up in its powerband...
Just wanted to update this...I haven't located a trans. segment that will work with my tahoe, yet. What I did do to keep it from locking/unlocking in stop and go traffic is I only have it lock in...
Weird that you do not have Tccmode pid, my E38/T42 has it.
Had this happen to an old '01, ended up being a bad BCM and security module...alot more than your cheap 50 dollar fix.
If you are just 2-3mph off then under the speedo calculator tab select speedo fine tuning enter values and apply.
Also you need to change both tcm speedo settings and ecm speedo settings.
slow67, thank you for that info. I will have to check my logs and see if the same is true with the truck/suv segments.
Thanks joecar, that has been my understanding, just happen to notice that as I increase torque reduction the shift perceives to be slower. I am guessing what I feel is the motor just starting to...
yes. I have the Transgo HD2.
I have been pondering the following...seeing how most of us know that adding torgue reduction helps soften the shift, does it also have any effect on the shift time...
As of now I am running less than stock line pressure on the 1>2 shift, finally getting closer to being happy with the trans. tuning.
I would just like to say that Taz's quick little tutorial is spot on. I have the 4L60e in my tahoe with all associated "hard" parts plus a full performance/tow rebuild and my shift pressures are...
Hmmm...looks like you gave me some work/research to do...I thank you old wise one!
