Thanks,
Sounds like it's time to pull the ecm and put it on the bench..
You have something on the bus causing issues. I just had to do the same thing last night. After the 1st erasing step, it shot back...
My editor shows the same thing. V8 is shows the correct Vin.
BTW, this was the first time I have ever used the update option in V8. Now I do not appear to have any of my old dashboards in V8? ...
Thanks for the reply,
Will the CM2350F take a CM2350B file after the RSA has been switched off then? Flashing Via bench harness.
Cindy, will you guys be offering a solution to turn off RSA with the HD V2 via the J1939 port for the 2018 CM2350B? I assume the 2018 RSA can only be turned off that way, similar to the 2013-2017...
What about adding the cm2350b to the HD v2 and flash trough the back bone on the j1939 buss? No messing with the ecm connections (pia to get to).

Sounds good,
I must have got lucky on the other E86B I did. It had a goofy os as well but V8 did alow the flash. And yes with the E86B you definitely bed TIS for a vats learn. I was able to copy...
Okay,
Will do.
I assume I should do the vats learn after the ecm is flashed with tis correct?
Thanks

So is the only solution to flash it with tis first? Is there any way to force V8 to full flash over the OS in the ecm?
Thanks

Yes defiantly an odd OS. This is a new replacement ecm. The last E86B ecm I swapped out had a strange OS as well.
It did not recognize it. I had to manually select the controller. I know it can't be read with EFILive. V8 will not allow to flash, it says the controller is not an E86.
Sent from my SM-G900V...
EFILive will not recognize this E86A controller. According to the service# it is for a 2012 D-Max, just not sure why V8 will not recognize it. The below pics are the ecm tag, and OBD2 using V8. I...
What I think they have in mind is you are able to lock or keep the ecm in a particular run mode. Not saying it is correct, but if you want to keep the thing in run mode 0, that would be one way to...
If I remember correctly the competition allows you to set the run modes (ie B1250). Do you think we will ever be able to do that with EFI Live?
Thanks
This is something that I forgot to tell you guys about a long time ago. The timing calculator does not work on the 11-12 C&C Rams. I get a Calibration A9104, A9102 and A9103 not found in CSP#1,...
Sounds great,
Thanks Paul
FYI V8 shows the file being good, and has different checksum's (I'm assuming the correct ones).
Yeah, I just checked my other computer and reinstalled V7.5, all the maps for the 5.9L are not lining up. Is this something that will be completed tonight by chance, I have the truck sitting in the...
I get a checksum error on all 5.9L Cummins auto or manual, csp5 and single flash. External Flash and Calibration Verification I have a red X next to both. Are we okay to flash 5.9 Cummins, I have...
Hey Ross,
Most people use Insite to flash the ecms. When you flash with Insite, it automatically backs up the parameters then writes them in with the flash. Maybe that is something that can be...
I assume this is why it took 10min to do a full DSP5 flash on an LB7 last night? I also did have 1 test full flash give me a checksum error as well. I was able to do 3 full flashes after that...
Sounds good,
Thanks
Sam
Any Update on the Update? Lol
Thanks
Sam
Very strange indeed. I also noticed that some pids were not available in V8 that are in V7.5. Fuel Regulator Voltage for one, was trying to figure out a fuel problem last night with a buddies...
This is an odd one, logging a LBZ last night. Log would not show correct A and MA for the Fuel Pressure Regulator, was only showing .64 A and 64 Ma. Everything else was reading correctly. Now when...
