I have a 6L 4L80E swapped vehicle that was brought in for a speedo calibration as it shifted hard and the speedo wasn't calibrated for the gears and tire size.
The engine, trans, harness and...
I have 2014 Silverado 4x4 with a lift and 35 inch tires that came into the dealership for a surge.

HI Joe

Is there anyway to see/log the idle airflow like commanded air, actual air, Integral, Proportional, etc
Thanks Joe
Still surging
I have spent a ton of time on this. Earlier today I reread this entire thread as well as any other info I could find and thought I had it and was just being a dummy and...
Thanks Hymey and Lastcall for the input.
Thought I would update.
I tried your cal Lastcall and the surging got worse. It did pull the timing down nicely. Amazed me as I thought you were onto...
Thanks :)
Any ideas what I may be missing.
I ensured the idle base spark, Coast Down Spark and Main Hi Oct & Lo Oct Spark are flat in the areas it is surging. The Spark Idle compensation are...
Thanks
I have quite a bit of injection timing in it, 450deg I think, have moved it around some.
When you talk idle airflow numbers are you specifically talking minimum airflow or others as well.

Sorry for my ignorance but what are you meaning by "hard limit in the tune for idle"
Unfortunately we already put a hole in the blade on this one trying to get the surging out of the idle.
It is a...
That would be awesome Joe :) Thanks

The car works amazingly on the road course however the surging below 2000 RPM is irritating. When it is surging the throttle blade and the timing can be seen to move in the logs...
I don't think it should matter but there was an issue with the MAF wiring. Because of the way the ECU was installed behind the dash and impossible to get to without removing the entire dash I have...

Any thoughts on what could be causing this.
Thanks :)

Thanks Joe
I’m perplexed
Interestingly it operates properly when cold, below 80C.

I have a 5.3L with 4 speed auto transplanted into a 68 Chevelle that I have tuned. It runs and drives great. When you pull it into gear then let go of the brake with no throttle input the car will...

Hi Joe
Thanks :)
Should the VSS be in the Transfer Case or Trans Output for a 4x4.
When the TCase is in Hi it would be 1:1 but when it is shifted into Lo will now it will shift at the same VSS but...
What tells the Trans Controller if the TCase is in Lo or Hi range so that the shift curves or TPS vs Speed are correct.
Is the VSS supposed to be in the TCase or Transmission on a 4x4
