Do not scale from stock injectors. The correct info is out there you just have to look.
On the other tunetool site there is a spreadsheet for converting the ford data to GM table format. You will...
Hi Joe. Good to hear from you too.
I have been lurking on here infrequently, but have been way too busy to join in.
Have a look here. https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?13364-IBPW-B4005-B3701-correlation&highlight=b9021
You need to strengthen your idle and give the timing some range to save you from a stall. One way to do this is to drop your base timing at idle to around 15 degrees and increase the idle airflow....
Thanks for the update.
No worries.
Daytime over here.
That is how I would see it, yes.
The actual tune file does not get modified while the engine is running. There is just a few learned values that get stored elsewhere in the PCM's memory. So the...
All good.
The tune itself cannot change, but there are a few learned values that can mess with you. Disconnecting the battery should reset these, as will reflashing the tune.
My thoughts are that if it started fine at first without a hiccup, and now has a miss, then there is the possibility that a mechanical failure has occurred.
I would be double checking the valvetrain.
Back in 2009 I came up with a method of calculating offsets assuming the airmass calculation was correct. Never tried it though. I have added it to the bottom of this post to see if my thoughts might...
Check the ground points on the heads. Front of head drivers side, rear on passenger side.
Common problem with big injectors with large offsets, glad you got it sorted.
I had a mate call with a strange issue 2 days ago where idle fuelling was fine, but put any throttle into it and it...
From what I understand he incorrectly lowered the short pulse adder threshold to bring the final pulsewidth down, without realising the pcm is hitting a pulsewidth floor that lowering B9201 will...
All the info can be found here http://injectordynamics.com/articles/the-same-as-injector-dynamics-but-cheaper/
What you need to remember is that the 0.125ms is the fuelling portion of the...
0.125ms is the same as what ID injectors specify IIRC. FIC have reportedly "borrowed" this data from ID and passed it off as there own.
You will need to load the cax file for B9021 to be able to...
I have never tried this, but the theory behind it is to allow burst knock to trigger and decay as required at the hit of the throttle.Take a look at the burst knock retard delta airmass table. By...
Burst knock retard can be used to help with this, as long as there are no other large changes in airflow during the run.
I found dropping idle timing to around 13 degrees, using a more aggressive spark correction and drilling the blade to give 30 - 40 steps at warm idle fixed all my issues. You can drive off from a...
I run into this all the time here. As long as you get the correct stock calibration you can just full flash the stock calibration in and start again from scratch.
Check that you are filtering the data correctly before copy/pasting to the tune file.
Also ensure you are driving the car correctly to maximize the amount of usable data.
The best way IMHO is to get the correct injector data and start again from scratch with the Ve table etc.
from memory the 60lbers have a large offset so using the B9021 cax will be necessary to get...
Those tables are for the fuelling portion of the pulsewidth. So if you are showing a minimum pulsewidth in the scanner of 1.5ms with B4003 & B4004 set to 0.85ms you have 0.65ms of offsets added.This...
The minimum transient fuel table is B9021. They have it labelled and scaled incorrectly.
