Yes that's what i pulled out of it. I still think his pcm has a bug wierd. It wouldn't connect several times and did some weird stuff to the bcm once.

Yes they have generic tunes. or they just pull segments out of a good tune they've done.
They in most cases tune ltft's to 0 or close with their IFR tables.

Do you have a wbo2 in the car?
Have you checked fuel pressure?
Throttle cracker is most likely the culprit but ve can effect this also. But it would have to be wayyyy off.

Are you using the tcs box deal that came with the 04 gto's I can't remember but I think it has a second weird computer the throttle cable came through. I had the same kind of issue with it my 04 when...

As for a ground issue I never found one either but had that thought on the last one I tuned. I even went tried tuning it with hptuners without any difference.

I've had this same problem with 97/98 pcm's and have never got it figured out. I just ended up shutting off stft at lower rpm levels. I wish I had a better answer for you.
cummins ok did you change the cells joecar said to and try the tune yet?
I just had a bad 01 pcm so it kinda sounds you have the same problem. For a NEW OS look at the tutorial. Flash the 99 pcm with the 01 cals and see if the tach works would be another way to test this.

Ahh yes overlooked that. What settings did you have in it before you switched the pcm. I guess switch the pcm's back and see if the tach works would be the easiest check. Why didn't you just reflash...
