Sorry been trying to find the supported engine list for V1 and can't find it.
Is this considered a Gen III or IV engine?
More importantly can I tune it with my V1?

I have a pretty decent SD tune with a couple degrees added timing across the board. Currently running OL.
What should I expect after the headers and high flow cats go on? ie running richer, leaner...
I'm no expert and don't want to give bad advice. But from what little I know you are now ready to begin VE tuning. The solid VE is what will allow you to get your commanded AFR. It seems to me your...
There are a bunch of tunes posted here:

I use this site and LS1Tech.com for advice and guidance. I try here first as there are a few regulars here that give...
Ok I get the whole timing of the spark but thought the VE table after the speed density tune simply gave me an educated view of airflow capabilities. I guess I thought the computer really determined...
How so? Not doubting you just trying to learn. Is it because the fuel is being burned faster?
Added 2 degrees across the board. Definately woke it uip.
Thanks
I've got my VE table dialed in great. I don't know when I will get a chance to get it on a dyno. In the meantime any advice on where and how much timing I can safely add to get some additional...
Thanks
I live in Texas and took my LS-6 CTS-V in for state inspection yesterday. They told me it could not pass because the emissions codes had been reset and I would need to drive the car for about 50...
Welcome to tuning, I think you will find the EFILive community to be very helpful. Below is a link for some basic info to get you started:

Hi guys,
I have a friend of mine coming over that has an LS6 with heads and cam. He thinks he blew a header gasket and is throwing DTC codes. Any advice on how to best verify it is a blown header...
The PLX SM-AFR is reasonably priced, easy to hookup to EFILive and requires no calibration. You can find one with a nice gauge on ebay for ~250 or ~200 w/out the gauge.
Are you running open loop, if not maybe its your LTFT degrading over time.
Bump ... Sorry I did consider this unit as it does seem to be a good one for a decent price. In the end I went with the PLX SM-AFR. I think you'll need to create your own calc pid or just edit one of...
Excellent that does work. I was going throug the File->Enter VIN which did not work for me. The Edit->Log File Information option does work. :D
I tinkered with my timing, throttle cracker and throttle follower while waiting for my WB. It made some noticable differences. You might check the differences between say a stock Vette 6.0 liter and...
Ok, thx guys. It does not seem to work for me unless I had the weight entered prior to the log.
I'll need to try some WOT runs as Joe suggests. I hate when I have to do that :)
Do you know if that needs to be setup before you log? I am able to enter it but it still shows 0. However I don't think I entered it prior to logging.
I'm assuming it makes a rudimentary calculation but mine is always 0. What else needs to be logged besides SAE.VSS or how do you use it?

I thought those were the nipples?
Too Damn Cold to tune. Based on my CTS-V dash

TA - Happy BDay, thanks for all your help.
You deserve the RoadRunner!
Too Dang Cold to tune day. I'm ready for Spring, was just getting the VE and MAF perfect and then cold/sleet now today snow. In Texas of all places. :frown:
