Oops, yeah. TPMS. I want to stop it from telling me the tires are low.
Worked perfectly. I guess there's no way to make the TPS codes stop reminding me that I don't have them installed anymore, is there?
I've been using it to tune the car, but for some reason I remember only seeing the option to tune one VIN. I'll plug it into the truck tomorrow and see what happens.
I bought a V2 scanner for my 98 Trans Am a few years ago. If it came with 2 VIN licenses, can I use it for my 05 Suburban, or do I have to buy a different license?
I answered my own questions... Substantially decreasing the IAC effective area, and slightly increasing throttle follower solved the issue. PCM learns idle air control even when in open loop, from...
I’ve searched through the forums for an answer, but nothing seems to fit my particular case. Here’s what I’ve got;
1998 Trans Am, 6-Speed
Recently installed a FAST intake and 92mm TB,...
What is the purpose of table B5910? ('98 Trans Am)
I'm tired of having to wait until my engine is warmed up to temp before the car is able to get out of its own way. It's a street car. I cringe...
Have you relocated your IAT sensor? I used a 24" extension to put it behind my right marker light, down away from the hot engine. Picks up actual air temps now, and so far, the lean issue is gone.
What would really be great is the option to edit the PCM’s IAT fuel adjustments. Seems it’s not tunable in the 1998...? Moving the IAT sensor to a location where temps are more consistent has...
If the MAF is disabled, does charge temp blending still function?
This could be useful. I'll get the hang of all this eventually!
How do I do that? I left the battery unplugged for a while, then flashed with the new tune. Figured that would clean memory out of the computer. What's another way?
Here’s a quick log. I’ve never had it in open loop before so I set commanded fuel at EQUIV 1.10 and dropped the timing just to be in the clear. LTFTs should be 0 though...
On another note, ...
Hmm… if only it could be better than that.
So now I have it in open loop, but when I run a scan, I’m still seeing LTFT adjustments. How can that be? This is what I’ve done so far:
- Closed...
Is closed loop always stoichisometric…? I thought open loop commanded fueling sets the target points for closed loop. Is that wrong?
The reason I’m asking is because my wideband shows that...
Yeah I was anticipating that. Is there a way to adjust the data, or should I just compensate?
What all does that entail?
What would this do?
{EXT.AD1}*0.096+0.62
I'm hoping for a Lamda number from my wideband, in relation to nothing else.
Okay, I hope to get it up and running tomorrow. I’ll have to remove the extension I added to that wire.
As far as logging PIDs goes, will CALC.AFR_NGK1 log what the AFX shows on its display? ...

I know these subjects have been brought up a few times, but I’m getting information from all over the place, and it would be great if I could get up-to-date and accurate info from someone who has...
I copied/pasted original config files into the My Documents, etc. folder... programmed them into scanner... saved a new "settings" file just so PIDs don't have to be validated... pretty much started...
I opened Scan and Tune, options.txt, all of my selections were still there, I clicked Save, then Program All, then clicked Read and once again all PIDs disappeared. options File is attached.
Do I...
Awesome. Thank you. It's tough to find the right kind of math on the internet!
Okay. That's where those two were, and I was wondering if they were supposed to be in Programs, etc. What I'm trying to do is add LTFTs to my BBX PID selection, and no matter what I've tried, the...
