well I finally got it to start.. I guess I dont nessicarily have to change the VIN in the PCM

i swapped the pcm in my 2000 S-10 & Im having trouble, I disabled the VATs but it wont let me change the vin. It keeps giving me a error 31 "out of range"

i cant get the truck to start either but...

MaxOD, did you get it to work? Im looking at doing the same thing, swaping a 2002 motor into a 2000 & the new motor doesnt have the egr at all.
