generally turn off vats & use a manual based ecu tune.
i honestly thought it was gone too. lol maybe needs to be an icon of a wheel & not a tacho?
yeah spot on again Paul. I can manually edit the location & put in 81,82 in the bin file, but efi leaves the trans type blank because I'm assuming the calz doesn't have the same options in it like...
my reply below is more for the petrol vehicles with the 6l80's, so probably not the same for the diesel stuff.
You can write to all years, but to swap between say 24243170 to 24249179. you require...
Yes, very nice. Thanks
Spot on & when you do..
Can u make the e40 recognize the later hex numbers for the 6l80e.. ;-)
small request, can you add the engine & transmission type to the calibration page, like we have it on the old 7.5 editor?
handy for calibrations that had the same number for auto/manual options.
got bbx working.
oh. i left the scanner running while i was typing this and the data has frozen.
Now it seems to freeze easily, very odd. it was working mint for a solid few minutes.
Will...
yeah happy to give it a go. i can swap out 1 of the existing units in 1 of my cars with the can version (i still used the older analog wiring in that).
I'm in Perth, so will get to workshop around...
Will give those changes a go for my cars. The issue with the aem data freezing was purely in pass-through. it seemed to be okay when logging from the v3 device.
Hey Mate, im still running the public release but had a look through the change log and didn't see anything mentioned that was similar that was fixed.
For the first time ever i was using v8 with...
i still use 7.5, 95% of the time too. i've been slow to go across to v8.
what would be nice to get in v8 is being able to open hpt's custom os files. i dont care to look at the ve map modification...
report back once u change it.
no worries. im actually going to test that range switch now in my car to see what it does to the tapshift function.
ok, so i my car if i enable the parameter is makes no difference, but if i...
once i validate a bunch of those settings, i'll be providing them to the efi guys to implement as standard settings in the software.
writing the cax file is rather simple'ish but...
u might need to send the tune file to whomever provided the autocal and get them to set the security link.
also how is your shifter setup for positions?
PRNDM ?
If M is D5, then you may need...
are you using an autocal or v2/v3 unit?

i dont have any security enabled on the file, but check this version.
Where did your original trans come from & did you perform a full flash it...
you have used an ecu tune from an e38/t42 aka 4l60e.
theres a bunch of parameters that are different between an a4 & a6 in the ecu.
i.e gear ratios, IMS, NSBU switch etc. (none of these are...
i have changed 1 parameter in this file via a cax file the other 2 changed settings were to turn tutd on as if was controlled via bcm.
test it out.24584
i have a lot more parameters defined for this os then efi/hpt has now.
how is your tapshift activated? via bcm or some other module or is it hardwire like the corvette?
I have had a sneaking...
