Anyone know if byte skipping is possible in cax8 files? I know the regular cax for v7.5 they are not. Byte skipping is needed for the funky way Chrylser does the 2D maps on the 68RFE transmissions....

Entirely unrelated but I’ve figured out how to get the bootloader code from the ecm
big difference there
from the last revision (rev 9) of a 2018 calibration, less "labeled" than the 2012
undefined8 FUN_00222210(int param_1)

byte *pbVar2;

Code from a 2012 calibration for the exhaust brake switch save
void FUN_0018fdc0(void)
{
undefined uVar1;
undefined1 *puVar2;
puVar2 = &DAT_60010590;

Only thing that brought me back here was a message I received asking if I have an SOTF file for a 2021
I haven’t really touched anything in the tuning world for almost the last year, just haven’t had the time for it unfortunately
Think might be something in code for exhaust brake memory, not sure. I looked at it before compared to a 2018 calibration and there was a little bit of difference in the code.
Doesn’t work on the CMD calibrations
:nixweiss::nixweiss:
Try placing in /documents/EFILive/v7.5/user configuration/ folder. That’s where I have all my cax files
Works just fine in v7.5 for me, could use better organization and stuff but works just fine. As noted above, the file name just needs to be modified so it only contains the OS number.
Attached for those who'd like it is a 2012 68RFE tune file with all crankcase ventilation/crankcase pressure related code completely removed from the tune file. No other mods are made to this file. ...
Paul, completely unrelated to all this, but could I perhaps pick your brain a bit in pm or something on PPC and Chryslers logic in a cm2200. Been trying to dive into it and its got me all cross eyed...
You don't create an .efd file. It's a Chrysler flash file that you download from them after paying them a fee and it's encrypted.
Maybe its got a 4L60, I don't know, not a chevy guy and don't have the truck. ECM was replaced with one thats got the wrong calibration on it and its not running right so looking to segment swap...
If you have had an OEM calibration update for the CP4 recall, you got a new boot loader. Myself haven't come across one yet that couldn't be tuned still (2019-2021). With some magic you can swap a...
A 2004 chevy 1500, 5.3L 4L80
I've had two trucks, a 2020 and a 2021 so far lock up the ECM and leave it in rom boot when trying trying to flash a custom SOTF file to it. Had to have the ECM sent to me to bench flash recover it.
I'm in need of the following segments for a 2004 Chevy 1500 if anyone has them
Transmission Operation: 12602141
Speedometer: 12579028
Why not just use the cax in the software it was made for, v7.5??? Problem solved for everyone. It 100% works in v7.5 as it was built for v7.5. Conversions to v8 is not perfect and requires manually...
follow the directions in the conversion tool in the scan and tune v8 software and problem solved
The DO90067 is not a cab and chassis calibration.
Attached cax for EB save option.
There is around 40 parameter differences between the cp4 calibrations and the cp3 calibrations that cover more than just the FCA current to flow, things like max flow limit, current limits, PWM, feed...
