Hi Joe
I wish I had a MacBook... I only have an iMac which is a desktop computer.
You got me thinking, though... I have literally sworn myself off MS products forever (at least at home) so...
Same here!
In regards to the original question, "Why Linux"? I can easily answer that one by asking "why not?".
Seriously though, Linux is a lot faster and is a far more stable platform...
Hi Les
Sorry I couldn't stay in touch and continue to support the forum (I only just found out it is no longer alive! :bawl:). It would have been good to revise some of the stuff I once...
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!
Joecar, you are a champ! Those links are just what I need.
Looking forward to some great reading from text and posts from EFILive members!
You guys...
:) Long time...
After a long absence from the tuning scene, I am itching to get back into it (you can't keep a good bloke down, not even after marriage and kids come along ). Now that I have...

Great that you fixed your bucking issue.
On a side note, is there any good reason why the Lo-octane spark table has higher values than the Hi-Octane table?
How so? His engine is operating on the Open Loop table?
What's PE got to do with idle?
How did you go?
If leaning out the idle doesn't help, I'd make sure I'd bump up the timing for rows 400-1200rpm and keep the timing consistent across these rows.
That should eliminate the...
I'd return my restart enrichment, decay delay, dealy rates etc... tables to stock just to see if the problem is eliminated.
Have you changed your Decay Delay/Decay Rate tables from stock?
If you richen up the mixture it takes more crank turns to fire up... and as you put it, ruins your RAFIG calibration as it requires more air to mix with the extra fuel.
What's your VE table like,...
Thanks Joe. ;)
I guess if the O2s get dodgey... I won't be replacing them with new ones. I'll just flash in OS3 and go Open Loop. :notacrook:
Bump. No more responses?
If the number of responses is any guide, I can only assume that 14.63 stoich is not commanded much across most VE tables... It implies to me that semi-open loop (OS3) is...
Yes. Good timing helps fuel economy. I run slightly higher timing @ .40 but less @ 0.08 across 1600rpm.
Thanks macca. Good figures for hwy.
15-16:1 seems a bit lean for my car's need. It likes to run richer b/w 1200-2000rpm, low MAP.
I run Closed Loop (and PE enabled) and very happy with my fuel economy and power. I usually average 12-13L/100kms (18-20mpg). I've run full Open Loop before and quite happy with the engine's...
That's why I don't do AutoVE. I don't enjoy looking at spikes on my VE map. I've found cammed LS1s don't particularly like the spikes. Yes, I manually smooth them out and can't complain about my...
Mine used to do that too (cammed M6 Commodore). The only way I overcame the problem was to lean out and even out my VEs at rows 400 & 800 rpm. I didn't change spark tables. My hi-lo and base spark...
I notice a few things...
I notice the tune is permanently in Open Loop as Closed Loop Temp Enable = 122*C (i.e. it will never enter Closed Loop).
Your VE table isn't very smooth for a cammed...
Oops. My wrong. :muahaha:
Yes tried the restore via the view menu... but failed to resize the pane using the vertical bar. :bawl:
I feel like an absolute dill.
Sorry to waste your...
Interesting suggestion, joecar. But the problem remains. :bawl:
I've had to improvise using MS Excel, meantime. :nixweiss:
Is there a common problem or does it only concern me? The only thing I...

I'm actually missing all the icons after the quadratic blending icon. That's the last eight icons in total that are missing from that toolbar.
Btw, I uninstalled v7.3 and installed...
Doh! Still can't see it in v7.5.1. :Eyecrazy:
What could have gone wrong?
