Thanks for directions Joecar. My cam is probably not big enough to need the tps ve tables but is nice to know it is there.
Thanks for all the responses gentlemen. I was doing the flashing correctly...I just did not understand the tutorial completely. The directions indicate 01, 02,..., 99. I wrongly assumed those...
That is the order I did it in and all the flashes worked. I only have the "parameter" section showing up under the cos section. I will redo the process again. Thank you Erik
I read the tune from the pcm and saved it to file. Do I have to read the cos tune only from the pcm, save to file, fix out of range cells, and then do the cal only flash? I did not do those in that...
Thanks for reply. I do not understand what you mean by "pulling the tune out" I also have v1 commercial. It shows cos but maybe I need v2?
I have an 02 corvette. I found the correct cos number for my car and did a full reflash of the pcm with said cos. I then calibration only flashed the tune file to the pcm. The only difference with...
The aftermarket units from holley, fast, and others do what you want. They are much easier to tune than the gm also. Downside is the money they cost and may not be compatible with our crank...
Thats what I did is upgrade from V7.3. Thanks for tip.
Thank you Paul. It is now working. I do not know why unless it was something left over from the original version. Now I have to be brave enough to try the custom os features. I was just telling...
It asks for information on vehicle type and operating system when trying to scan. Is that correct? My old version did not do that.
I checked the usb settings and they match except the V1.12 is V1.21 which is probably just an update?
Thanks Paul I will try that. Chuck
It is V1.
I recently upgraded to 7.5 along with the commercial license so I could take advantage of custom os features. Now my flashscan will not work, it loads but will not connect to pcm and locks up when I...
Not sure what exactly you are asking. Everything will pretty much hook up. You will need the pigtail to hook up cam sensor at front of engine. Knock sensors hook up may be different. That is...
Thanks Mr. Prick. Will give it a try. Car has had marginal battery.
Stock except for long tubes and exhaust. Did not have this problem last year. There were some dtc set which I cleared and got it passed. Could running open loop cause this...like a general...
Does anyone know what this might be. I have tried changing some of the conditions for dtc and it makes no difference. When I click on system readiness it gives me a not ready for catalyst, O2...
Thanks Paul. Will log on today.
Thanks Joecar. I have FSP V1.2 scan and tune personal version with 4 licenses.
So I should be able to upgrade to Commercial scan and tune for $50 and then be able to do cos after apropriate...
That is what EFI told me when I contacted them. They said my version which is from 2005 I believe would have to be upgraded to a newer version in able to use the COS. Is that incorrect?
On mine is Absolute throttle Position SAE.TP under parameters
Kurt,
Lots of similarities with mine. I have bucking in those same areas and about same kpa. Mine seems right on in the 85 105 area and pulls really hard. I have to upgrade my v7.3 for about...
Sam, try the pid "Absolute throttle position". It seems to make more sense. Chuck
Sam.. Highlander is right. Forget about that throttle opening.
