Sounds like what everyone has said above. Make sure you have RC10 from the forums here and not the software from efilive.com. The 6.7 stuff isnt public release yet.
Yes that is correct. You will be better off IMHO to unplug that valve.
It only closes for a split second. That's why you get a puff of white smoke and a stumble. The valve doesnt seal it off 100%. It's a very quick moving valve.
It should have nothing to do with the truck warming up if egr is deleted. The only thing it does is close the fresh air off causing the engine to suck air through the EGR system. If all that is gone...
The truck we did it would keep closing on start up to attempt to pull egr in.
Updated and flashed a truck today. Worked very well. Only thing i noticed was that it wont show the "CEL" or show any active codes in the scan tool but if you do the key trick it reads out a big list...
Ok thats what i thought. I guess i should have been clear about the external excel file. Thanks
Does that even apply with the external calculator file that you manually enter the numbers?
Just looking for confirmation that the timing calculator is compatible with the 6.7 files with the axis' modified to match. Anyone have any luck?
We were able to pick up another ecm and swapped it in. So far all we have done is change the vin to match his truck. Havent tried flashing his old file to the new ecm yet. still a little gun shy.
Should have a new ECM tonight, what do you need to get a license to flash the new ECM to robs file? I can get you the scan tool numbers this evening.
Thanks guys, question is, can his stock file and vin be flashed to a new ECM without the need for a dealer or will it have to be reset? Does your reads include injector code information?
Tried that. Zach should be forwarding Ross both files.
yes all fuses have been checked.
Flashed a tune modified from the stock file from this truck. Everything went smooth as far as the load. went to restart and now the truck just clicks the relays for the fuel pump with the key on. No...
Thanks, I should have clarified since i was posting in the 5.9 section.
For the 5.9s, yes. Is it usable with the 6.7s in excel?
Thats what i was thinking. I guess i will go look for MS Excel
I am having troubles pasting into the excel file. I am using open office. I try to copy as directed in the top of the file and it just changes the vertical axis in the first column and fills it with...
Log files attached. #1 and #3 are normal and #2 is where the differences are. The pids available on all the logs change but you can watch the commanded fuel pressure, both balanced rates and...
The logs are on my other computer so i will post them up this evening.
I was logging a 6.7 tonight and noticed some varying readings. When first logging the truck ran smooth and the balanced vs uncompensated rates were very close. 2nd log the truck would stumble right...
Would that be built from another tuner? or beta software?
I am all ears too?
