I think that adjusting this table could provide a solution to your cold start issues without VE or injector adjustments.

A little more info on your truck would help. Any modifications? Any programming yet? Shift kit?

The stock 1-2 shift is pretty soft - plenty of torque reduction, traction control, etc.

I would guess one of two things...
1) You might have one of the (possibly) very few '01s with the same problem.
2) Your VE table is off in a few part throttle areas.

Have you re-mapped your VE...

Have you read the AutoVE tutorial? This includes inctructions to disable MAF and set the fail freq and count to 1, which immediately sends PCM into SD mode. No need to wait for 2 failures...

In my calibration, FTC 10 is defined as the section of the Main VE table between 55-77 MAP and 1400-2200 RPM. This uses the cells between 60-75 MAP and 1600-2000 RPM.

IMHO, the AutoVE method is the proper way to measure and map out the engine's air flow (VE table). With the mods you already have, another $300-400 for a WBO2 to tune it properly is easily worth it....

Ok, couple of things to check:

1) Does it start and run with your last known good tune? Just want to confirm that it is the autotune that is the problem.
