I think running the 60e OS with the 80e has problems with TCC lock up.

Im definatly going to have to richen up the MAF espically during cold start up.

For reference my mods are CAI/Longtubes w/ORY and NGK TR6 plugs. E38 ecm

So I have been working on the VVE for awhile and think I have it about right. The WOT is still a bit rich and I will eventually get some full throttle runs in to smooth that out, I never could get...

So for the E38 t42 transmissions use this-


For harsh shifting with e38 Speed density tune and T 42 combo....Select Stop Adaptive learn, Pressure Solenoid Default and Inhibit Torque Management...

Alright, I see how it likes 15.4 AFR. As of now its super lean. Im seeing 15.5-16.2 AFR at cruise. Definatly too lean but my VE is way out :Eyecrazy:

Oh okay I think I get what you are saying. Im going to try the settings Ross suggests and see if that works. I will report back later tonight when I have given it a shot.

Okay so when I log the MAF Frequency Hz will it still show a reading or will it be 0? Thats how I checked to see if the MAF was failed or not

Okay, followed the tutorial, unplugged the yellow wire and it wont run. Go ahead, make me feel stupid...

So I got a half decent VVE map, little lean in a few areas but mostly rich. I need some help getting this map smoothed out. Im getting a crazy lean ratio right off the hit along with some preWOT KR...

We simulated the same thing on my friends truck. Pumping the brake at idle that AFRs would go in to the 17s and the motor would run rough. As soon as we stopped the AFRs would go back down to 14s

Heres a log I got today.. I made it go lean sitting in the driveway pumping the brake nearing the end of the log... IDK why it would do that.

It wont do it everytime. Thats why i thought it was flex fuel related

I changed the tables that you told me to change. Flashed it in, reset the fuel trims and went for some logging..
