Ive got an issue whereby the motor is stalling when in gear and at slight TP%.
Vehicle is an 03 VYSS ute, stock engine 3.9's and a 3500 stall.
Its a mates car and I havent had a chance to perform...
Are they really a viable option???
HP/$$ ration looks pretty dissapointing and by the read, it looks to be a bolt on mod not one for the more modded motor.
Dave doesnt it shit you to death when the cause of your grief may come down to a 20 cent part?
Down side is you get to have the joy of a cammed motor.

The business went tits up quite a while back now. 2 years
I believe Peter STARR has the rights as the sole importer of the PD blowers he used in his S/C kits. The kits themselves are still...
[QUOTE=Bruce Melton]Holley went Bankrupt, so I am sure they are "busy" elsewhere.QUOTE]
Funny about that. Peter STARR's last venture went the same way.
He used to run a very lucrative...
Very usefull with larger cams.
At idle for example, running conventonal VE table with RPM/MAP with a big stick can see your MAP very quite alot over a number of cells.
Changing this to use...
What you are asking is the AutoVe function.
Have a look thru some o the many threads that cover doig the auto VE process.
Good luck and there is plenty to learn.
Just a quick question for those who know far more than me. (most here)
I have installed the new update and the problem I have encountered is that the pid selection I was using in 7.4 wont work...
I dont know the difference between the 92 octane fuel we use here in Aus to your 92 fuel so bare that in mind.
Generally here in Aus with "our" premium 98 octane juice, 24* is about the most for a...
12.8 at idle is pig rich.
You should be in the 14.x region.
My mates 242/244 idles beautifully at 14.0 with about 20* timing.
I dont disagree with the values youve mentioned but I do disagree with using the GTS cal as a base sarting point. Not that good a starting point and only one spark table.
He'd be far better off...
DO something simple like dropping the timing at idle speeds. You'll find the AFR richens up.
Altering the timing will alter the AFR. Check your VE table again and you'll find it needs to be altered to bring it back to where it was.
You could. But WHY??????????:bash:
Theres not a lot of info around for what filters people use while doing their AutoVe tuning.
Would you care to post up what filters your using and why?
You also need ot have your IAT sensor in a position that truely reflects the temp of the air being ingested.
Having it in a position where heatsoak will effect it isnt desirable, nor is having it...
I think you missed my point.
Use 2nd and 3rd and exploit as many different load points in the rev ranges you can. Even simulate a couple of flat chat passes (on a private road).
If you do...
Another way to look at it wolud be this.
You need to do something outside of anything your likely to do in the car to hit those cells. Ie your never going to hit them under any driving conditions...
Bingo. Thanks.
I was tryin to flash the pcm in a mates car yesterday and I kept receiving the message that I didnt have an available licence.
I only purchased the licence last week, and I know it it there. V2...
What AFR and spark are you trying to run at idle?
Stock figures wont be nice for your cam.
I thought you blokes may enjoy what I did with my reflective stickers.
