Sorry not a WINE guy and really not a x-over person...
You need to use the D2xx drivers as the interface to the EFILive hardware is via USB.
Hey Paul,
I'm a software engineer and have done a good bit on Linux all the way from embedded Linux up thru some GUI. I'd be interested in getting involved if this comes to fruition.
Thanks
Dan
Try over at dieselplace forum. They have a section on 6.5 that seems to be pretty popular.
Did you actually install the software?
When you install the software is should install the drivers in the process.
If you did and still have issues the drivers are on your computer here:

Check out a couple of the duramax diesel forums. It's been discussed many times there.
Opps yeah sorry I meant to say the Acer Aspire ONE, which is a mini.
Don't know what you consider decent battery life, but the Acer Aspire is a nice compact machine that should do nicely. I have been thinking of buying one for just tuning as well.

Even though I am a big proponent of Linux and us it as my primary OS for most of my own stuff. I agree with the post above. Paul, Ross, Cindy and the rest of the small crew here do an outstanding job...

Well it works under qemu. Again I don't know if this is what is desired but this is one way you can run EFILive under linux. Below is a short step by step on how to set it all up. When I say short I...
Almost agree
I agree that Wine prolly won't pickup and load the drivers as it is not a true windows emulator it is simply a linux port or the win32 architecture.
On the other hand a...
On second thought qemu might not be what you are wanting to do.
It is an emulator and what you end up with is windows running inside of linux.
I'll still play some with it to see what I can...
Have you tried qemu?
I haven't installed EFILive under it yet, but I have a multi effects pedal for guitar that is winblows only as well and is usb and was able to get it working.
It might be...
That looks to be a standard RJ45 connection. You should be able to get that at Radio Shack, Lowes, or Home Depot and replace the end. They also carry tools for replacing the ends if you want.

Contact EFILive direct and explain your situation. They can in fact transfer your license. I think there is another thread here about it, might be on another forum I've been reading so much, but I...
Thanks joecar. Been reading like a dog for a while now. I don't know squat about EFILive yet (I should have mine next week  ) but maybe I can help in another way here.
Paul... if you are interested I have some ideas on why EAX is null and what you may be able to do about it besides the workaround you listed.
