First off :thankyou2: For getting these going! HQuick, I made an ~30% increase to the 80+ kPa columns, and 10% everywhere else. Still some fine tuning to do, very happy with the results so far.

Joecar, my situation was very similar to Kevin's. Mine would start to knock at about 75kPa at low throttle around 1800 rpm.
Are you getting audible knock? I had a similar problem with my truck and tried reducing timing with no luck. With some help and advise I started adding timing in the area until I was up around 30*...
I have been trying to reuce a small amount of hanging idle on a 2006 LS7. I cannot find the familiar throttle follower decay and delay tables in the calibration. The car is stock except for the air...
Are you getting any misfire codes? I wonder if you are getting a false reading from the wideband if misfires are letting unburnt air/fuel into the exhaust?
Howard,
Your MAF trims are looking very good. I would disable the MAF now and work on the VE for a session. Once the VE is getting close re-enable the MAF and see where you stand. My B3601 is set at...
Howard,
Pretty cool looking set-up you have under the hood. I like the hydraboost brakes also.
I think your injectors are the same as the SVO 42s, which flow 42 lbs/h at 3 bar fuel pressure and...
Howard,
The PE looks like it is functioning correctly now. Your timing is lower than I am used to seeing. Your engine is a 5.7L Vortec, not a GenIII correct? Any aftermarket internals?
Have you ran...
No problem Howard. Is the knock retard in the logs audible? Your timing is not too agressive, do you have stock heat range spark pulgs? What octane fuel?
B3616 is set to 70%. Try setting that back to 30%, you should go into PE. The MAP threshold (B3613) is raised to 80kPa now, which is fine. All of the PE enablers must be met before PE is enabled.
Howard,
It seems that you may need to calibrate your MAF sensor. There is a pre-configured map in the scan tool that will work with your wideband. I have not used the map before myself (I currently...
I would lower B3616 (TPS to enter PE mode) to 30% or so. There were some lean boost conditions in the log. You can use B3609 to adjust if power enrichment becomes too agressive at low RPM. You may...
vbandp.com sell a poly mount for the C5. Vibration and harshness will increase.
When adding electric fans to a 2007 trailblazer SS I have heard that you need to send the PCM and TCM in for a "patch". What exactly is this patch? Is there any way to control the fans with tuning...
Thank you for the help. I downloaded the latest update, updated the firmware on the V2, then got the cal file through e-mail. Up and running now.
I am getting an unrecognized pcm message when I read the pcm on my dad's 07 tbss. It should be an e38 correct?
I downloaded the latest updates, but I am not sure if I installed them correctly. Is...
Thanks joecar, I got the scan tool and tuning tool on the same page. I can track the correct cell now. I got some adivse to try raising the timing in the areas with knock. It worked! I put the stock...
I found a potential problem, I think. I logged the MAP output in the scan tool with the key on truck off and had 100kPa. I tracked the cell in the tuning tool on the VE, it showed me 400rpm (not...
I had the plugs out about a week ago. The color was very light (maybe due to Methanol injection) and consistant between all the cylinders. I looked at them under a magnifying glass for spots, did not...
joecar, it is definetly audible pinging. hquick, I can check the manifold/supercharger bolts for torque, no signs of a vaccum leak though.
I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0L with a Magnacharger, 208/230 121lsa .600" cam, otherwise stock engine @ 9.5:1 CR. It does not have a vac referenced FPR. I worked on the VE quite a bit, it is...
Thank you for the help. I began the auto VE with a new VE and had much better success. I am within .5 of my commanded AFR now, with no spikes. I paid attention to the shape and continuity of the new...
I fixed the out of range tables and went for a drive. Here are some logs, the knock is still unaffected by any changes I make.
I'll fix the two values first thing.
I do not have the PCV hooked to the intake manifold, no chance of oil getting in.
The whole story behind this is, I recently made some changes to the truck...
Those two log files don't show the full amount of knock that I get. I was running the stock MAF for about 6 months before this happened with no problems. I recently changed to a 2bar SD custom OS and...
