I'll throw in my 2 cents worth as a complete amateur. I found it was hard to get a good quiet tune and deviate much from stock. Overall, the more advanced the pilot is, the more fuel quantity is...

Tuning issue aside, doesn't this create a complete monopoly on repair of GM vehicles. You must go to a dealer, pay what ever they want and wait as long as make you?? It's this just the same issue...
Thanks. I had it at 1950 so I may bump it a bit. I'd like to keep the TC happen so I'll probably won't go much higher.
What's a safe duration to run on a stock DD -no towing, no gauges. Just trying to give my brother a nice clean tune for his truck. Right now I just dropped the third event and left it there. I figure...
So basically you're saying don't got down with the angle, only up? This way line pressure won't get too low?
Any utility in doing the mechanical advance on the TTVA motor. I assume that is that...
Adjusting the 2nd gear band helps for a few months but its always goes back to its usual habits . Which direction should I go with the gov. pressure? I've read elsewhere upping the ttva angle a...
I still have the shuttle shift and it is driving me crazy . I have tried BW solenoid, GM solenoid, new transducer, and tighten the band about 1/4 turn over. Nothing made any difference. I used efi to...
What I was wondering (not having any problems) is that it seems to me that going into limp mode is a bad thing. It's there to tell the driver something isn't right and to take action for repair....
I noticed that in the stock transmission parameters the trans is set to got into limp mode at 235 degrees. But the O/D lock out is set at 270 degrees. Seems to me it ought to go into O/D lock out...
Funny you should mention Belize. I was just down there.... for reasons mentioned above. A lot of diesel trucks down there, probably all stolen.
I have a DTT and shift enhancer. I to have the flare shift as well, always had it. I have adjusted the TTVA with some improvement. But I got to thinking if it would be better to remove the Enhancer...
Rich can you comment on the theory that increased rail pressure at cruising will increase atomization and perhaps a slight increase in timing (higher pressure, more fuel sooner) to help mileage. I am...
Rich, I used your excel file to figure the TOPS I want the tc to unlock at 0 throttle, and that is reflected in the unlock table. I changed the lock table to close the t/h table. I basically want...

I don't have the option to upgrade. Do I need another OS?
Ever since downloading the software with the trans files, I get error 602 - PCM programming error. I uninstalled and re-installed the software and updated the bootloader, etc. I get the code every...
I am playing with this and am having problems. I changed 2nd gear a little and could notice the changes but am at stock now. I would like get 3rd to lock similar to what it is like in T/H but I...
What about the pilot? With the larger injectors, more fuel will be injected sooner, so I retarded my pilot timing by 2 degrees and pulled back the mm3 from 15-25% to compensate for my 50hp nozzles....
I am running that solenoid also, plus a DTT Shift Enhancer. I'd be interested in how all this interacts.
Thanks for posting your tune. I interesting to see what others are doing.
I'd love to see a single event tune just to see what folks are doing. I'm gonna play with that in the future just to see what kinda of mileage I can get. When you drop the pilot, are you combining...
Ahh... Not seeing the forest for the trees. Thanks.
Well what am I missing. How does this other programmer make power if all the tables still only go to 140?
So really we should be upping the Duration for more power? I've been looking at another popular programmer and as best I can tell all it does to up the power is increase the commanded fuel on the tps...
I'm playing with rail pressure some and minimizing wear is part of my goal. My thought is to find the minimally effective pressure, keep the curves smooth and nothing more than stock. Right now I...
