Thanks for the help guys, the tuner finally sent over the email with instructions and a quick setup file to install and I was able to flash the tune in.
Thanks for the reply, I downloaded v8 software and connected to the pc and it's not showing me anything in the BBX options. I did some searching before I posted here, so I'm not sure how to choose...
Hey guys, haven't used efilive in years, used the V1 cable back in the day to tune my 99 camaro race car and it was awesome!!! I bought a delete kit for my 2012 DMax Sierra. I did all the...
That's exactly what I'm trying to do, which is why I was trying to get some help with those tables.
Its an ngk powerdex. I can't get much driving done to get the ve table dialed because of the idle problem and I can't use the interpolation file to help smooth it because I have to do the backup...
I could really use some help. I'm trying to help a buddy out and tune his car. It's a '98 WS6 with a 408, very large cam, AFR heads and a 6-speed. I've never had so much of a problem trying to...
Yes, 0 volts shows 9.0, didn't know max volts in on V1 was 4.8, ok, that explains it, so everything is ok, thanks man, makes me feel better!
I don't think anything can be adjusted on the gauge. But my main concern was the fact that efilive is only showing 4.8V on the external voltage from the wideband, which is why it's showing 15.75...
I can't get it any further from the exit I only have 12" bullets right off my collectors dumped and the wideband is in the o2 hole where the narrowband would've gone in the header.
When you say...
This is my Calc pid I have for my NGK AFX Powerdex wideband:
0V is supposed to be 9.0 A/F and 5V is supposed to be 16.0 A/F, but here's the weird thing, on my gauge it shows 16.0 (only reason...
I'm running COS5 and just curious if there is anyway to change timing on individual cylinders because my timing strap comes out different on some cylinders than others when I check the plugs after a...
BTW, I went and tested it all out tonight, was only making 1/8th mile hits to try and read plugs and dial in the tune, and got a new best 1/8th mile, went a 5.88 @ 114.98 and this was on only a 275...
Doc already caught that and he showed me how to shut it off, it was originally pulling .5 degrees from my motor tuneup, I used to always have to set it .5 higher, no longer!
I set it to 9.5 and it pulled 11, so as long as I can get it to what I want i'm ok I guess, just gonna have to test it after each change to make sure it works right.
Sweet, thanks for that heads up, I was wondering why it always said that when they were within range, just did it and it's gone, but the tps ve table didn't want to go away even though it was within...
I'm wondering, has there been any kind of updates or changes to the cos5 file, maybe I got one that has a glitch, I downloaded it a while ago, is that possible?
IAT can't jump, it's constant @ 72 degrees from a resistor, I had nowhere to put it with my intake/tb/air cleaner setup:
(Don't have the air cleaner on in this pic, just a cover over the throttle...
Thanks man!
Yes, it's doing it through the entire rpm range, I will put up the log and the tune, don't mind the a/f, I need to retune, it is off from some recent changes i've made, also, you'll see in the tune...
Alright, thanks man, i'll take a look into that. What exact pids would you recommend logging, and what am I looking for exactly, if I had zero'd out all the timing correction factors, what is left...
I set mine up and wired it all up and with the switch off i'm commanding 26 degrees timing and it gets what i'm commanding, then in the cos menu for the timing pull I have it set to pull 11 degrees...
and I tested it out in the driveway on the transbrake, was at 26 without the switch on and flipped the switch and it dropped to 14, but I was asking it to drop 11 degrees, so it should've gone to 15,...
BTW, here's a little vid of the car, still working on the cold start side of the tune, she needs to be revd a couple times to catch just when she sits over night, but anyways, I got rained out at the...
Not that I know of, but i'll look into it.
It's already slotted, can't go anymore the way that I need too.
