Default Question on C6 Z06/E38 tuning

I have an 08 C6Z and have done nothing so far regarding tuning. I have looked at some drag strip numbers and the MPH is all over the place from 121 to 129 and ets' with dr's are generally low 11s to 11.4's with good drivers. Most cars are stock or running CAI.

I have heard about issues with IAT and ECT and even TM. Just wondering if someone could share some of their findings when tuning the E38. On paper, mid 125s and higher should be fairly normal for this power to weight!

Main thing to do is, LOG it first stock.

See where you can find areas of improvement based on your car, and the fuel in your area.
Some cars want more timing, other cars want less timing. Same goes with fuel. Its easiest to do on a dyno...where you can repeat the runs, and the cool down times between runs, and look the graphs to see where you made improvements or not.

You can pick up a lot on those cars now. It seems GM isn't leaning on the tunes as hard as there were out of the gate. Maybe due to fuel?

TM is an issue with those cars,
    Funky Fuel trims also common,
    Horrid MAF signal, another issue.

    Best of luck!
