    Default 2.5 bar map sensor

Hey guys I recently was told about a Cobalt 2.5 bar map sensor that is good for 20psi. The part number is GM 12615136 I cannot seem to find anything on it. I was wondering if anyone has run this map and what do set it up as 2 bar or 3 bar? Any help much appreciative. Thanks

That's the new part number for 12580698, and I thought it was only 2 bar. If it was 2.5 Bar, you would set the table up to 2.5 bar, not 2 or 3.

Does a 2.5 bar sensor even exist? I've heard of it but can't find any SOLID information about it. It seems everyone is confused with this part number.

I would guess it's really a 2 Bar sensor. The 12615136 is the new part number for 12580698.

I believe that is incorrect. A 2bar map sensor will only read 1bar of vacuum and 1bar of pressure.

A 2.5bar map map sensor will only read 1bar of vacuum and 1.5 bar of boost.

So a 2 bar table would need a 3 bar MAP sensor and a 2.5 table would need a 3.5 or 4 bar map sensor to set the map table accordingly and accurately.

For a 2 BAR MAP sensor, you would set {C6301} to 190 ish

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

There is a lot of mis-information floating around about MAP sensors. Especially the 2.5 bar sensor. I looked for one but never located it. I'm using a 2bar up to it's limit and PE beyond its limits. A sticky with part numbers and descriptions would be helpful for guys looking for a 2 or 3 bar MAP.

Does the 2.5 bar MAP really exist?
