    Default 1996 H1 Hummer Turbo-Diesel 6.5 non-intercooled

Can anyone tell me where I can get some info on what is available(if anything), computer tune's, chip's, or anything really(mechanical or electrical *more power*)...e.t.c. for a 1996 H1 Hummer Turbo Diesel 6.5 non-intercooled.

    Thanks in Advance...

Try over at dieselplace forum. They have a section on 6.5 that seems to be pretty popular.

Here is a list to find good stuff.

I would say call Heath and talk to him and he will set you up.

If you look any of them up in google you will find the sites.

    Heath Diesel
    Kennedy Diesel
    SSDiesel Supply
    2008 2500HD 4X4 LTZ Z71 6.6L LMM
Mods: EFILive, MBRP 4" DPF Delete, BD Manifold, SD Manifold, SD Center Link, SD Sleeves, S&B Intake, FS-2500, PPE Trans Pan, Bushwacker fender flares, PPE Oil Centrifuge, And other non-go-fast things.

Things still need to put in: PCV Re-Route,Air Dog AD-200.

your going to have tune the pcm the old school way.
    you will need these items.

    http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...roducts_id=138

and depending on the chip one of these

Tunerpro software can be used with the right definition and XDF files.

Some of the 6.5td used a PMD that controlled some of the injection pump and can have a effect on power with the right mod. I believe the 96 you have may have a pcm that you can burn a chip for. Dont expect a ton of power, I think max might be around 75hp gain.

Heres a link to some info on burning chips
    http://www.moates.net/documentation.php

I have often though about burning chips but I dont have vehicles that are OBDI or early OBDII around and no one ask me to do chip burning so I dont plan to get involved with that.

    Hope this helps.
